Today we want to recognize the incredible generosity of one of our BOC Board members, who wishes to remain anonymous, for making a special donation, dedicated to helping senior citizens in our community with financial assistance this summer.🩵
Many of the senior citizens we serve live on a fixed income, and one unexpected expense can quickly become a crisis. A higher than average utility bill, an unexpected medical cost, or other unforeseen expenses can make it difficult to keep up with basic monthly bills.
In the two days since receiving this donation, we have already been able to help three senior citizens over the age of 80 avoid having their water and utilities disconnected. This gift has already made a meaningful impact in the lives of some of our most vulnerable neighbors.
To our generous Board member - thank you. Your compassion and kindness have already made such a difference in someone’s life. 🫶🏻

Today we send a huge thank you to Karma, and Bixby High School’s newest club, the “Social Change Club”! They collected much needed food items to help support our pantry.
You may not know, but during the summer months, the BOC‘s food and monetary donations, slow down, while the need in our community continues to grow. Community support makes a real difference for the families we serve every day. If your club, church, business, or organization is looking for a way to give back this summer, please consider hosting a food drive or fundraiser to help keep our pantry shelves stocked! With your help, we can continue our mission of helping local families when they need it the most!🩵
