Impact100 Metro Detroit

Impact100 Metro Detroit Impact100 Metro Detroit emphasizes the strength in women's hearts aligned for collective giving, awarding high-impact grants. Join us!

Impact100 Metro Detroit is a 501(c)3 non profit comprised of women members who join together to collectively donate funds to a worthy charity (or charities) in the Tri-County area. To become a member, each woman is asked to make a donation of $1,000 to the group. These funds are then pooled to provide the sizable grants we award. By joining together, we can make a much larger impact than we could

working alone. Impact100 Detroit members are invited to participate in every aspect in the process of philanthropy. Members are encouraged to serve on a grant review committee if they would like to, where they will work together to evaluate each proposal and help to choose several finalists. Once finalists are selected, all members are invited to attend the annual luncheon (held each May) to cast their vote and decide which finalist(s) will receive the grant(s). Please visit our website at http://impact100detroit.org for more detailed information.

MEMBER MONDAY | Meet Bri Eldridge 💜

For Bri, one of the most meaningful Impact100 moments wasn't only seeing what a grant could make possible. It was seeing what happened next.

This year, she watched one grantee give another organization a van, an act of generosity that showed her just how far impact can travel.

“That moment truly stood out to me because it showed that the impact of our giving can go far beyond the initial grant.”

That ripple effect is part of what drew Bri to Impact100 Metro Detroit in the first place. Inspired by past president, Leslie Thacker and the mission, she loved the idea of women from different walks of life coming together to make a meaningful difference.

Bri found her place on our Events Team, where she helps bring our gatherings to life. And when she's not doing that, you'll find her spending time with her husband and daughter, heading up north to their cottage, working in the insurance sector, or building 2 Board Chicks, the mobile charcuterie, mini cake and mini pancake cart she started with her best friend earlier this year.

For Bri, making an impact means coming together to create change that reaches beyond ourselves.

We're glad you're part of it, Bri 💜

Today, we recognize Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the certification of the 19th Amendment on August 26, 1920.

It’s a day rooted in the importance of women having a voice and a reminder of what becomes possible when those voices are heard.

At Impact100 Metro Detroit, women bring different experiences, perspectives, ideas, and talents to our community. We listen to one another. We learn together. We deepen our understanding of the needs around us. And we use that understanding to help create meaningful change across Metro Detroit.

Because when women have a voice, communities grow stronger.

Together, we are Women With Impact. 💜

💜 There’s a place for you here.

One of the things we value most at Impact100 Metro Detroit is that there isn’t one “right” way to be involved.

Some women serve on committees. Some review grants. Some rarely miss an event. Others attend when they can, cast their vote, support our mission by donating and being a member, and stay connected in ways that work for them.

And sometimes, life gets busy. Work changes. Families need us. Priorities shift.

That’s okay.

Your involvement may look different from year to year, or even month to month. Your place here doesn’t.

You don’t have to do everything to be part of something meaningful.

That’s how we work. 💜

One conversation can change everything.

This October, Women With Impact returns with Conversations That Matter, a morning created to bring women together around a topic that touches our families, workplaces and communities in ways we may not always see.

This year, we’re talking about domestic violence.

Not just what we think we know about it, but the realities that are often harder to recognize, the patterns, the barriers, the lasting impact and the ways each of us can better understand and respond.

Join Impact100 Metro Detroit on October 14 for a meaningful morning of listening, learning and conversation.

You don't need to be an expert. You simply need to be willing to be part of the conversation.

📅 Wednesday, October 14
📍 American Polish Cultural Center, Troy
☕ Doors open at 7:30 AM | Breakfast at 8:00 AM
🎤 Program 8:30–9:30 AM

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, we’re celebrating the organizations doing the work every day to make Metro Detroit stronger.

We have the privilege of getting to know nonprofits at different stages of their journeys. Hearing their ideas, learning about the challenges they’re working to solve, and seeing what can happen when an organization has the resources to take a bold next step.

That’s where Impact100 Metro Detroit comes in.

Our members come together to fund transformational grants that give local nonprofits an opportunity to think bigger, grow their reach and expand their impact.

But the vision, the expertise and the work belong to them.

To our grantees, finalists, applicants and nonprofit partners across Metro Detroit: thank you for showing us what’s possible.

We’re proud to be part of your story. 💜

How We Work | Membership, Your Way

One of the questions we hear most often is:

"Do I have to pay my membership all at once?"

The answer is no.

We know every woman's financial planning looks a little different, so we offer several ways to become or renew as an Impact100 Metro Detroit member.

Whether you choose to:
💜 Pay in full
💜 Pay in monthly installments
💜 Give through a donor-advised fund, charitable trust, employer, or personal check

…the impact is exactly the same.

Every membership helps fund transformational grants for nonprofits across Metro Detroit.

MEMBER MONDAY | Meet Eryn Lauckern 💜

Sometimes all it takes is one experience to see what's possible.

Eryn first attended the 2025 Big Give as a guest. Watching a room full of women come together with a shared purpose gave her something she hadn't expected, hope.

That experience inspired her to become an Impact100 Metro Detroit member.

When she's not attending Impact100 events, Eryn recharges by spending time in nature, reading, investing in self-care, and taking her pups on adventures. She's still collecting Impact100 memories, but one of her favorites so far is attending our BasBlue event in the fall of 2025.

We're so glad you're part of this community, Eryn. Thank you for helping shape a stronger future for Metro Detroit.

Twenty years ago, Developing K.I.D.S. was founded on a simple but powerful belief: when you invest in young people, you strengthen entire communities.

Today, we're celebrating 20 years of that vision.

For two decades, Developing K.I.D.S. has been creating opportunities for children, supporting families, and helping young people discover what's possible through education, mentorship, leadership, and community.

In 2021, our members joined others who believed in that vision by investing $100,000 to help expand their work. Four years later, it's inspiring to see that investment continue to grow through the lives they're touching every day.

One of the things we value most at Impact100 Metro Detroit is that our relationships with grantees don't end when a grant is awarded. We continue to celebrate their milestones, learn from their work, and cheer them on as they shape the future of our community.

Congratulations to Kimberly Johnson and the entire Developing K.I.D.S. (Kingdoms In Different Stages) team on 20 remarkable years. We're grateful to be part of your story and so excited for everything that's still ahead. 💜

Some of the most meaningful moments happen long after the grant is awarded.

Last week, our members gathered at the Belle Isle Nature Center to see the DPL Foundation Code:GROW program and the future home of its new Smart Living Classroom Greenhouse.

Standing on the site where it will soon be built, we could see what comes next.

Because of the growth this new space makes possible, Code:GROW will be able to serve more than twice as many Detroit students while expanding programming throughout the year.

This is one of our favorite parts of being an Impact100 Metro Detroit member. We don't just celebrate the moment a grant is awarded, we have the opportunity to come back, ask questions, witness progress, and see how one investment continues to grow.

Afterward, many of us continued the conversation over lunch in Eastern Market at Supino's Pizza, reflecting on what we've seen and what's still to come. The food and conversation were top-notch!

Thank you to the Detroit Public Library Foundation for welcoming us and sharing your vision for the future. We can't wait to watch it grow. 💜
