Our next Gather & See is set for Wednesday, July 15, from 11–12pm at the Belle Isle Nature Center.

We're heading to see Detroit Public Library Foundation's Code Grow program in action — one of two organizations awarded a $100,000 grant at this year's Big Give.

Code Grow blends digital literacy, environmental education, and workforce readiness, teaching Detroit youth to design, build, and program robotic systems that support food production. The grant is funding a new technology-enabled greenhouse within walking distance of several schools — turning what was once a summer-only activity into a year-round learning lab.

Gather & See is where members experience the impact of collective giving firsthand, and guests are always welcome — bring a friend who's curious about what Impact100 Metro Detroit.

Afterward we will be meeting up for lunch at Supino Pizza in Eastern Market for some Metro100 Metro Detroit social time!

Impact100 Metro Detroit members took a site visit yesterday to Elli's House, one of the recipients of our $100,000 grants awarded this past May.

These Gather & See visits give our members the opportunity to see our grants in action. This visit with Elli's House consisted of a tour of two residential properties that offer safe shelter to women in need, as well as an overview of their mobile outreach unit serving Detroit's Eastside. We also learned about how our grant funds will support a third property, which will operate as a drop-in resource center.

Thank you to Elli's House and to our attending members for their continued dedication and commitment to worthy causes affecting our neighborhoods.

Today, Dutton Farm cuts the ribbon on a brand new location in Clinton Township and we couldn't be prouder to have been part of their story.

In 2023, the women of Impact100 Metro Detroit voted to invest $100,000 in Dutton Farm's mission: building an accessible greenhouse and community garden where adults with disabilities and their neighbors could grow, learn, and thrive side by side.

Today, watching Dutton Farm expand to a new location, serving even more adults across Macomb County, is what organizational momentum looks like.

Congratulations, Dutton Farm. Keep growing. 🌱

June 12 marks the anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948 — a historic milestone that allowed women to serve as permanent members of the United States Armed Forces.

Women have answered the call to serve throughout our nation's history, often overcoming significant barriers while demonstrating extraordinary courage, resilience, and leadership. Today, women veterans are among the fastest-growing veteran populations in the country.

On Women Veterans Recognition Day, Impact100 Metro Detroit extends our deepest gratitude to the women veterans in our membership, our community, and across the nation. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and the example you continue to set for future generations.

This week we're kicking off our Member Monday series with a woman who didn't find Impact100 — Impact100 found her.

When Michele was invited to get involved with Impact100 Metro Detroit, she was at a crossroads. After leaving a previous role, she was building her own home and body fragrance company while quietly asking herself what the next chapter might look like.
Then came an invitation.

Leslie (2025/2026 president), knowing Michele's heart for community and her creative gifts, reached out and asked if she'd be willing to volunteer and help.

Michele jumped at the chance.

What started as a volunteer opportunity quickly became something more. Her first event was the Sweet Journey and it was also the first event she helped bring to life.

"Hearing the past grantees speak and tell their stories, something shifted for me. It allowed me to see not just how collective giving can transform a community, but how it transforms the women who are making it happen. There is such a genuine sense of pride in that room; you feel it in every seat; you see it in every smile. It was truly amazing to experience, and I knew right then that I was exactly where I was supposed to be."

That's what Impact100 Metro Detroit does. Yes, we fund transformational projects throughout Metro Detroit. But we also create connections, purpose, and a community of women who grow alongside one another.
