Impact100 Metro Detroit emphasizes the strength in women's hearts aligned for collective giving, awarding high-impact grants. Join us!

Impact100 Metro Detroit is a 501(c)3 non profit comprised of women members who join together to collectively donate funds to a worthy charity (or charities) in the Tri-County area. To become a member, each woman is asked to make a donation of $1,000 to the group. These funds are then pooled to provide the sizable grants we award. By joining together, we can make a much larger impact than we could working alone. Impact100 Detroit members are invited to participate in every aspect in the process of philanthropy. Members are encouraged to serve on a grant review committee if they would like to, where they will work together to evaluate each proposal and help to choose several finalists. Once finalists are selected, all members are invited to attend the annual luncheon (held each May) to cast their vote and decide which finalist(s) will receive the grant(s). Hosted by Impact100 Martin County, this gathering is an opportunity to celebrate how far we've come, the difference we're making, and all the possibilities still ahead.

For our members, it's about connection, learning about non-profits, discovering the needs in our communities, and having a voice in where transformational funding goes.

For local nonprofits, it's an opportunity to dream bigger, grow stronger, and bring their ideas to life.

And for Metro Detroit? It's stronger communities, new possibilities, and lasting change.

Since 2015, Impact100 Metro Detroit has awarded more than $2 million to nonprofits serving Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

What a morning! 💜

Our Women With Impact Breakfast was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, familiar faces, and a whole lot of heart.

But beyond the smiles and shared breakfast, we came together for something important: a conversation about domestic violence, the experiences that often go unseen, and the difference awareness and understanding can make.

A heartfelt thank you to JoJo Dries of On The Wings of Angels and Jeni Hooper of First Step for sharing their knowledge, compassion, and insight with us.

To our incredible event partners, thank you for helping make this morning possible. And to every woman who joined us, thank you for showing up, listening, connecting, and being part of the conversation.

💜 She was making an impact before she was even a member.

Barbara first connected with Impact100 Metro Detroit by sharing something she already had: her expertise.

As a professional coach, Barbara began working with our grant finalists to strengthen their presentation skills, helping each organization step onto the Big Give stage prepared to confidently tell its story.

Then something happened.

The more Barbara learned about the nonprofits doing incredible work across Metro Detroit, the more she wanted to be part of it. So she joined.

Today, she continues to coach our finalists and calls it “one of the most gratifying projects I do all year.” That’s something we love about Impact100. There isn’t just one way to make an impact. We bring our dollars together. But we also bring our experience, talents, connections, curiosity and time.

💜 How We Work: Grant Review

What happens between a nonprofit submitting an application and the moment we cast our votes at The Big Give?

A lot.

Impact100 Metro Detroit's grant review process is member-run. Women choose a Focus Area, review applications, ask questions, learn about the needs in our community and help determine which organizations move forward.

And here's something important:
You don't have to be an expert to participate.
You bring your perspective. You learn alongside other women. And along the way, you get a closer look at the incredible work happening throughout Metro Detroit.

It's one of the ways we turn giving into something much bigger than writing a check.
We pool our dollars. We do the work. We cast our votes.

Domestic violence doesn’t always look the way we think it does.
It isn’t always something you can see.

It can be control over money. Isolation from people you love. Monitoring where you go. The gradual loss of independence. And leaving isn’t always as simple—or as safe—as it may seem from the outside.

That’s why conversations like this matter.

At our Women With Impact Breakfast: Conversations That Matter, JoJo Dries of On The Wings of Angels and Jeni Hooper, Executive Director of First Step, will help us look beyond the stereotypes, better understand the realities survivors may face, and talk about what meaningful support can look like.
