We’re so proud of all our swimmers who worked hard in Swim Club and swim lessons this summer! 💙 Today was a special day to celebrate their growth, hard work, and love for the water.

A huge thank you to Coach Sarah and all of our amazing swim instructors for pouring into these swimmers and helping them grow all summer long! 👏

We’re getting closer to kickoff, and teams will be coming together soon!

If your child has been thinking about playing, now is the time to get signed up. Whether they’ve played for years or this is their very first season, our goal is simple: a fun, positive season where kids can learn, compete, make friends, and enjoy the game.

We’re excited about what we’re building with youth soccer at the Legacy Y and would love to have your family be part of it!

⚽ They’ll learn soccer. But they’ll take away so much more.

When you sign your child up for youth sports, you’re not just looking for something to fill a couple of hours each week.

You’re giving them a chance to build confidence, make friends, learn how to be part of a team, stay active and discover what they’re capable of.

There will be goals scored and games won but some of the best moments this season will have nothing to do with the scoreboard.

It might be the first time they finally kick the ball exactly where they wanted.

The high-five from a new teammate.

The encouragement from a coach after making a mistake.

Or getting in the car after practice and asking, “When do we get to play again?”

That’s the kind of season we want to create at the Legacy YMCA.

Our members are truly the heart of this place!

A huge thank you to one of our dedicated members at Legacy YMCA, Ron McCrary, who has been “found faithful” in caring for our home away from home. He took it completely upon himself to pull weeds & water the flowers in our parking lot.

We are so grateful for his kind heart and hard work. There is truly no place like this place!

⚽ Never played soccer before? Perfect.

One of the best things about YMCA soccer is that your child doesn’t have to already know how to play.

We want kids to come out, learn the game, build confidence, make some new friends, stay active and…most importantly…have fun.

Some kids will show up knowing exactly what they’re doing.

Others might be kicking a soccer ball for the very first time.

There’s a place for both.

Our coaches are here to teach, encourage and help every player get a little better each week.

So, if you’ve been thinking about signing your child up, but weren’t sure because they’ve never played before, give it a shot! We’d love to have them.

Join us at our Hueytown Center for a fun and exciting 6-week Girls Flag Football Development Camp designed to introduce girls to one of the fastest-growing sports in the country! Whether you're brand new to flag football or looking to improve your game, this camp focuses on building fundamental skills, increasing confidence, and developing athletic ability in a positive, encouraging environment.

Participants will learn passing, catching, route running, defense, teamwork, and game strategy through fun drills and scrimmages. Our goal is to promote an active, healthy lifestyle while creating a strong foundation for a future girls flag football league in our community.
