When asked what’s a leader, the first thing that comes to my mind is someone that will set the standard by doing right always. We no longer need “rules for thee, but not for me” leaders.
Under the Alabama Ethics Law (specifically Ala. Code § 36-25-5), public officials are strictly forbidden from using public equipment, facilities, time, materials, or human labor—including municipal police forces—for their own private benefit or for a campaign committee. Do you think that is going to stop Campaign To Reelect Kenneth Gully for using his local PD for assistance in campaigning? Cause apparently laws are only meant for citizens and not those in “leadership” positions.
