Berthoud Habitat serves families and individuals who fall within 40-80% of the Larimer County are median income. That means hardworking teachers, healthcare workers, tradespeople, and many others in our community may qualify.

Big things are coming at Berthoud Habitat for Humanity — and we need YOU to help build them! 🔨🏡

With our new Construction Director, Mike Porter, now on board, we are gearing up to get back on the build site very soon. That means we’ll need enthusiastic volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build affordable homes right here in Berthoud.

No construction experience? No problem! We teach everything on-site. All you need is a willingness to show up and be part of something truly meaningful. 💛

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to leave you with this. 💛

Throughout May, we’ve talked about the powerful connection between stable housing and mental well-being. Between community and healing. Between a place to call home and the ability to thrive.

Because at Berthoud Habitat, we’ve always known that a home is never just a building. It’s where stress gives way to stability. Where anxiety is replaced by routine. Where families put down roots, build connections, and find the safety they need to truly flourish.

The research backs it up. The families we serve live it every day.

As we head into June, our work continues — building homes, strengthening community, and fighting for a Berthoud where everyone has the foundation they need to be well. 🏡

We have some exciting news to share. Please join us in welcoming Mike Porter as our new Construction Director! 🏡

Mike brings a passion for both building homes and building community. His focus on expanding access to affordable housing and growing Berthoud Habitat's capacity to serve more families makes him the perfect person to lead our construction efforts.

We are so excited to have him on the team and can't wait to see the impact he'll help us make! 🔨
