Two weeks into their training, this first class is already hard at work in Thailand.

ASAP Ministries has partnered with AFCOE Thailand to provide this training, and the very first class of students consists of ASAP local missionaries.

Through this experience, our missionaries are gaining practical knowledge and skills to strengthen their ministry as they serve their communities and share the hope of Jesus.

We’re excited to see this first group learning, growing, and preparing to serve even more effectively.

For years, Auntie Muy Sal resisted Christianity. But after a serious illness and an unexpected answer to prayer, she began a journey that would lead her to Christ.

Along the way, God answered another very specific prayer by sending a church planter you may remember from last week's episode of Mission Matters: Nib Nath.

Pictured here is Dr. Mary Ann McNelius, who served alongside ASAP’s founder Judy Aitken in the refugee camps of cambodia, teaching natural remedies for common ailments. Her legacy is continued today as ASAP medical missionaries continue to be trained in bringing relief to the suffering through simple natural remedies and the hope of the gospel.

Nath grew up in a Buddhist family that couldn’t afford to keep him in school. Then a mission school gave him an opportunity that changed his life and introduced him to Jesus.

Today, God has brought his story full circle. Nath is an ASAP church planter reaching children and families in a remote Cambodian village.

Today, a generation of young Adventist refugees stand ready to do what Ellen White called "... a work we could not do in getting the light before men of other tongues" (The Review and Herald, October 29, 1914). But for too many, the educational opportunities that would qualify them for this work remain out of reach.

That's why ASAP Ministries helped establish the Judy Aitken Memorial Refugee Scholarship. The Fund was designed to promote the preparation of ministry leaders within Southeast Asian refugee diaspora communities.

She could hear gunfire through the phone.

Lian Nu’s son, a soldier, was calling from the front lines of a civil war. Terrified for his life, this devoted Buddhist mother reached out to one of our medical missionaries for prayer.

That night became a turning point in her journey toward Jesus.

Since then, Lian Nu (a pseudonym) has experienced both unexpected joy and heartbreaking loss. Yet through it all, she continues to hold on to Christ and share her newfound faith with others.
