At our April 7 meeting we welcomed the Kearny Bank Team for a discussion on Cybersecurity
Chris Walsh our Rotary Club President Elect and Loan Officer with Kearny Bank brought the team in to explain the current scams they are seeing that we all should be aware of

Our club participates in several projects throughout the year providing food packages and personal toiletry supplies to those in need

CHILDREN’S BOOK DRIVE at Somerset Hills YMCA!

Literacy is the foundation of a bright future, yet many children in our community lack access to age-appropriate reading materials at home, a gap we can bridge together. The Y and Rotary Club of the Somerset Hills are partnering to provide books for children in our community.

By donating your favorite new or gently read books, geared for ages 0 through 5th Grade, you are doing more than just sharing a story; you are fueling imagination, improving academic outcomes, and strengthening the foundations of our community.

At our March meeting we welcomed Larry Jacobs
Larry has been mayor of Bedminster for 8 years. Larry shared with us the challenges facing his town and his efforts to maintain affordability and quality of life. Larry has worked to ensure the budget is thoroughly reviewed by all council members. He has been instrumental in managing affordable housing requirements and maintaining the bucolic landscape of Bedminster.
Larry was awarded and honorary membership to our club

The car show was such a fun day
We are looking forward to another great Car Show in August
Proceeds will go to support many local charities and scholarships

Another project in the books!
We recently purchased, assembled and delivered personal toiletry items (and warm gloves) for one of our favorite causes- Nourish NJ
provides nourishing meals and connects our neighbors to essential community resources.

At our January meeting we welcomed Jeannie Tsukimato, past District Governor to join us. as well as Kirti Reddy, our next District Governor.

Jeannie shared her summery of Rotary’s seven core focus areas; Peacebuilding and and conflict prevention; Disease Prevention and Sanitation; Maternal and Child Health; Basic Education and Literacy; Community Economic Development; and the Environment.
Our district receives 44 grants from the Rotary Foundation, four of which are dedicated to food insecurity. These grants are enough to buy 250,000 people a meal !

which acknowledges individuals who have contributed $1000 to the Rotary Foundation
