Troop 441 recently honored Scout Bryce Stack for his bravery and heroism. Bryce was responsible for first spotting the house fire on Worthington Ridge a couple weeks ago as he passed by. Bryce called 911, and he and his mother Stephenie helped evacuate the resident and his cat from the house as the fire quickly intensified. Troop 441 salutes Bryce and his mother for their bravery!

Last night, Troop 441 recognized our Scout’s recent achievements at our spring Court of Honor. Receiving the highest recognition were our FOUR recent Eagle Scouts: Oliver Stopyra, Jerry Pena, Rocco DeGrandi, and Aidan Arcila.

This morning, on Armed Forces Day, Scout and parent volunteers from Troop 441 replaced worn flags at over 500 Veteran's gravesites at Maple Cemetery on Worthington Ridge. This is a yearly tradition for the troop as part of our annual service project with the Berlin Veterans Commission. Many thanks to the Scouts, their parents, Troop Leaders, and the Veterans for their help this morning! Connecticut Rivers Council

Troop 441 welcomed European Master Chef, Mr. Christian J. Fischer, to our meeting this week to teach the boys about cooking! Mr. Fischer, a native of Austria, entertained the boys with tales of his homeland and instructed the boys on preparation of guacamole, Kaiserschmarrn (King’s pancake), and ice cream in a ziploc bag.

Surely a night the boys won’t soon forget! A huge thank you Mr. Fischer for a very entertaining and educational evening!

Troop 441 recently took a field trip to Valiant Martial Arts to learn about self defense, discipline, and respect. Thank you to Karol and his team for working with the boys!
