We provide free confidential trauma informed services to all individuals impacted by sexual and domestic violence within Northern NH.

Services include advocacy, 24/7 support line, shelter, education and outreach.

At Response, we provide free, confidential support to individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

Our services include safety planning, emergency shelter, individual advocacy and support, hospital and court accompaniment, and connections to community resources.

Beyond direct services, Response also provides prevention education and community outreach to promote healthy relationships, raise awareness, and help prevent violence before it occurs.

It looks like challenging harmful attitudes and misconceptions about domestic violence.

It looks like sharing resources so survivors know help is available.

It looks like supporting organizations and services that work with survivors every day.

💜 Domestic violence isn’t always physical.

Abuse can take many forms, including emotional, verbal, financial, sexual, and technology-facilitated abuse.

Controlling someone’s finances, isolating them from family and friends, monitoring their communications, or using threats and intimidation are all ways an abusive partner may maintain power and control.

Recognizing the signs is an important step toward supporting survivors and building safer communities.

Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding can lead to action.

When someone shares their experience of domestic violence, how we respond matters.

Listen without judgment. Believe their experiences. Respect their choices. Remind them that support is available.

Survivors know their own circumstances best, and supporting them means respecting their decisions and allowing them to determine what safety looks like for them.
