A HUGE Thank You to Littleton Food Cooperative for the extremely generous donation to the White Mountains Community College Thanksgiving Food Drive. They have donated enough food to make 75 out of the 100 meal kits that the WMCC Food Cabinet is providing for our students.

A local Christmas resources for students with families. There is still time to apply!

The Salvation Army of Berlin, NH will be taking Christmas Toy and Food Basket applications for Residents of Berlin and Gorham Only; Tuesday-Thursdays from Tuesday October 17- Wednesday November15, 2023 between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Toys for children ages 0-14.

Applicants MUST Bring:

Proof of Income
Proof of Expenses
ID for Everyone living in the house
ORIGINAL Birth Certificates for Children

Thank you to all of our PTK members for your efforts collecting raffle items. A special thanks to Cheyenne Berube for your help hosting on graduation day. The raffle was a success and we raised just over $500! Those funds will be going into our Food Cabinet in the Fall for returning and future students.

We would also like to thank all of the vendors and businesses that contributed items to be raffled. Including C&N Reflections, Jt's Performance, Northern Lights Music, Hair Zone, Creative Threads, Floral Designs by Reagen, Baga Yaga, Sheer Touch, and, T. Lamire.

Are you a student unsure where to find nutritional food resources, check out this Food Access map!

Are you an individual looking to find food or related food resources available to you? Or maybe you are an organization trying to find places to donate food or your time? 🍅🍞🥫

As a response to Covid-19, Nutrition Connections and UNH Extension staff worked together to create the "NH Food Access Map!" The map was created as a way to help those in our community find access to food and resources, and to share organizations who are looking for resources.

Some examples of resources on the map include: food pantries, soup kitchens, summer meal sites for kids, farmer's markets that accept SNAP/EBT, and so much more!

There is a mobile food pantry coming to Gorham this week.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY UPDATE – PLEASE SHARE

The NH Food Bank's mobile food pantry is headed to Gorham this week. Please note the location and time. Households will receive an assortment of produce and shelf-stable items. We welcome anyone in need of food assistance to please join us.

The Food and Families research team at the University of Vermont is currently recruiting for a study on the effects of food insecurity on mental health. With your help, we hope to gain valuable data that can be used to benefit those experiencing food insecurity in the future!
