Yesterday was so cool.
We won't have one of these, sadly (they are toooo heavy) but we have lots going on this week at the shop!
💲🪡6/22 Monday
TAX DEDUCTION WORKSHOP 7-8PM come SEW with us from 5:30-6:30 then learn all about taxes and how to maximize what you keep as a small business owner 💰
🎨🌬️ 6/24 Wednesday another double fun evening! Come for BREATHWORK 5-6pm and stay to make a suncatcher from 6:30-8:30pm. Grab a 🍕slice in-between! Must pre-register for suncatcher workshop (check with The Bustling Brush to see if it's too late!!)
6/25 🧘‍♀️yoga with Elizabeth from 6-7pm

🌞 Now booking in person Reiki, Private individual & small group yoga, sewing, meditation, and more! Schedule based on availability, special summer rates.

NEXT WEEK: We hope to host a workshop on Energy Hygiene and Energetic Boundaries (for empaths, intuitives, creatives, and healers) with Victoria Fann on 6/30 but need to ensure minimum registration is met! Tonight: yoga with Elizabeth 6-7pm Elizabeth Burlingame
Tomorrow: drop in crafts time 10-1pm (ish, look for open sign or text!)
Community sound bath by donation between 7-8pm, I may need some extra flexibility with Friday hours! I'm hoping to be open before 7pm, but it's been a dramatic week so far.

Monday: FREE tax deduction workshop! 7-8pm with local CPA Jaima Cole

Wednesdays arts and crafts class is with The Bustling Brush from 6:30-8:30pm SIGNUP ENDS SOON! Reach out to them directly to register and make payment arrangements 😊

Edit: closing the shop for the evening. Haven't heard any more information from the local sources and detours out here are time consuming. I reached out to anyone registered for class....if you were hoping to drop in or visit us tonight, my apologies! Stay safe out there village friends.

Update: Shelter-in-Place Advisory Lifted – Bergen

As of 5:30 p.m., the reported leak near 15 Church Street in Bergen has been stopped.

Emergency crews are working with the DEC and EPA to verify conditions through testing. At this time, all testing appears favorable.

The shelter-in-place advisory has been lifted.

Thank you to residents and businesses for their cooperation and to all emergency responders who assisted.

Update (2:40 pm): Shelter-in-Place Advisory – Bergen

Emergency officials advise that the shelter-in-place advisory remains in effect within a 1/2-mile radius of 15 Church Street in Bergen.

Residents and businesses outside of the 1/2-mile radius may resume normal travel, but should continue to avoid the area around 15 Church Street.

Emergency crews remain on scene. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Shelter-in-Place Advisory – Bergen

A shelter-in-place advisory has been issued for the area around 15 Church Street in Bergen due to a reported hazardous materials leak.

Bergen Fire, the Genesee County Hazmat Team, and Mercy Medic 1 are responding.

Residents in the area should:

Stay indoors
Close all windows and doors
Turn off air conditioners and ventilation systems
Keep pets inside
Avoid the area and allow emergency crews to work

This advisory will remain in effect until emergency officials determine the area is safe.

More information will be shared as it becomes available.

EDIT: ROOTS AND BRANCHES IS CLOSED TONIGHT. THE NEWS SAYS THE SHELTER IN PLACE IS STILL ACTIVE AND I HAVEN'T HEARD OTHERWISE.

If you reached out to register you should have gotten a call/text/email from me by now as long as I have your info...if I don't have your contact info or didn't know you were coming I'm sorry you have to find out this way or by rolling up to a closed shop! Hoping they have a quick resolution and everyone stays safe.

So, currently there is a shelter in place for the village of Bergen, and we don't have access to the space 😬

It's more important that everything is ok and everyone stays safe, but probably not ideal conditions for Breathwork at 5pm as it's all still unfolding. I'll keep updating as I get news!

We still have Breathwork Wednesdays 5-6pm, and yoga Thursdays 6-7pm 😊
Hoping to bring back chair yoga on select Tuesday afternoons 4-5pm the last week of the month, unless there's a better day/time! We do hope to bop around at the Bergen Harvest Market on the occasional Tuesday, so let me know what works best! I could always try 6-7? Orrrr?? 🤔
