Remember being young and starting the day off with blueberry pancakes from Money's before floating down the Platte from a friend's cottage to a neighboring house, running with car tire inner tubes through the yards, on repeat for the whole day? This feels like an almost universal collective childhood memory from Benzie County.

🎉It’s been a BIG year for the Benzie Chamber, and we can’t wait to share what we’re doing and what’s to come!🎉

Join us November 11 to celebrate our first year with an expanded mission and renewed commitment to moving Benzie forward! Be among the first to learn about our strategic plan and how we will support Benzie County businesses, local governments, and the community at large.

Doors open at 5:30, with a short program at 6:30. We’ll wrap up business around 7, then we invite you to stay on for a bit to chat with friends, meet the Chamber staff and board, and generally celebrate!

Early in-person voting starts this Saturday 10/24 and continues until Sunday 11/1. If you haven't mailed your absentee ballot yet, it's best to return it in person at your local polling place dropbox. All ballots must be received by 11/3.

We take a lot of pride in our beautiful county, but what makes it so special? Among other things, we are the smallest county by land mass in the entire state of Michigan. But did you know that most of our county is made of water? Within our small but mighty county we have a fantastic resource in the Benzie Conservation District.

The BCD has an expert staff and over 80 years of local experience, helping create a future where all residents and visitors of Benzie County are inspired and well-equipped to protect our natural resources. We all love where we live, and the BCD is committed to empowering landowners, lake associations, and our whole community to make lasting positive impacts.

💧Free site-visits with science-backed tips for stewarding your slice of Benzie County
💧Hosting educational programs for all ages
💧Leading research on local water quality and pioneering programs to protect it
💧Connecting you with their wide network of natural resource professionals for on-site land management support and financial assistance

The Benzie Conservation District has their annual meeting and Board Director Election on December 9th. The meeting and election are open to the public, and Benzie residents 18+ can participate in the vote!
