About Youth Climate Collaborative - Who We Are

Youth Climate Collaborative (YCC) is a youth-led, environmental, for-impact organization that guides young leaders with education, opportunities, and resources to engage in the climate change movement. With our online platform, we aim to connect youth with nearby youth and organizations with existing environmental initiatives, and enable youth to sta

rt their own projects. We will also provide young leaders the space to share their unique stories and resources to amplify their impact. It is time for youth to take matters into their own hands by envisioning a better future for all and making it a reality. YCC provides pathways for youth to be at the center of driving the change they seek. By achieving our goals, we strive to significantly empower youth voices. We want to make it easier for young leaders to get involved in the climate space, provide tools they need to succeed, and help youth work collectively to uplift each other. For our work, we are defining youth as individuals between the ages of 13 and 30. Our Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Belonging

At the core of our work is our commitment to working with communities underrepresented in the climate space and those most impacted by climate change. We know that our work is only made stronger and more impactful when diverse groups are empowered to participate meaningfully. At YCC, we welcome people from all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, age, religion, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity, ability, national origin, citizenship status, creed, class, ancestry, or other grounds. We prioritize building a team which brings diverse perspectives and life experiences so that we can learn from each other and grow to be approachable for young leaders from all walks of life. Further, we emphasize building a community which values human dignity and evokes a sense of belonging for all.
