City wide celebrations are tomorrow and we will have city vehicles down to celebrate with the community.

🔥 Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States.

Our crews in the Town and City teamed up for our 4th of July fireworks safety video. Check it out.

The City will have a fireworks show on the 4th and our Beloit SkyCarp will have another awesome display on July 3rd, which also happens to be First Responder Day at the ballpark.

We are disappointed to announce that we did not get the sign-ups that we expected for our Local 583 Charities Golf Outing, and have been forced to cancel the event.

Our Charities staff will reach out to those signed up. Thank to our sponsors and attendees and we hope to jump on top of this early next year and get back into the SWING of things (get it?).

IAFF 5th District Vice-President, Mahlon Michael Mitchell, was recognized for all his contributions to the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, at the State Convention today.

On a personal note we, at Local 583, extend our thanks to our friend, Mahlon, for all his hard work, guidance and assistance he has given to our local over his years with the PFFW.

This recognition is well deserved, and we were happy to have our Executive Board members at convention to congratulate DVP Mitchell.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Local 5575 and everyone at Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department this morning as they mourn the on-duty death of one of their own.

We will not be releasing the name until they do, but on a personal note, this hits me differently. I worked with this member as one of my very first paramedic assignments out of school, just when HRFD contracted paramedics through OSF Lifeline Ambulance. Rest Easy my friend. - Mike.

Thank you to Beloit Health System and Beloit Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for hosting all their EMS agencies and ER crew for EMS Appreciation Week at the Beloit Health Suite at ABC Supply Stadium, home of the Beloit Sky Carp.

Local 583 had off-duty members and on-duty crews swing by to enjoy some food and baseball.

Awesome day for a sold out ballgame.
