Some of our most serious crashes happen inside city limits, where the speed limit is 25mph. This crash happened in a quiet, residential area, right at shift change this morning.

Engine 112 and Ambulance 142 were first due from Station 2 on Cranston Road.

Good job stabilizing the vehicles and treating the patients by our crews.

Congrats to Local 583 members who took home the 'W' and the trophy in the K-Tal Johnson Memorial Golf Outing, hosted by Madison Local 311.

Great job guys: President Ace Hanaman, E-Board Member Addison Sennett and Member Conner Churchill. They were joined by Local 311 Member, current Mercy Paramedic Instructor, and good friend, A.J. Greenlee.

Local 583 members, (L-R) Brandon Purdy, Mike Cullen and John Ziolek, attended the 9/11 Memorial Services in, and around, Downtown Manhattan, New York City, today.

Local 583 were honored to join friends/family from Cicero (IL), Waukesha, Madison, Middleton EMS and Mosinee Fire.

Our guys attended the morning ceremony at the FDNY Memorial in Riverside Park hosted by the 18th Battalion, then attended McSorely's Tavern (the oldest in NYC) for their 3:43pm Ceremony, and will attend tonight's Sunset Service at the Twin Towers at Ground Zero.

We Will Never Forget.

Crews from City Station 3 (Engine 113 and Ambo 143) were joined by Batallion-1 for this incident last night.

At approximately 9:20 p.m Monday, August 24, 2026, the Beloit Police Department received multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Eighth Street and Liberty Avenue.

Officers responded to the area and located a male in his 30s who had sustained possible gunshot injuries. Officers immediately initiated lifesaving measures. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Evidence was recovered on scene. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional information is available for release at this time.
