📣An Update for BYHA Girls Hockey📣

Our girls are not an addition to BYHA—they are part of who we are. Girls hockey has a proud history within our association, and building meaningful opportunities for the next generation is a commitment we take to heart.

Following recent changes affecting participation and program leadership, BYHA no longer has the roster numbers and structure needed to move forward with the stand-alone 10U and 12U girls teams as originally planned. We know this is deeply disappointing for the players and families who were excited about these teams. All directly affected families have been contacted and are being supported as they consider their options for the upcoming season.

💜While this season will look different, girls hockey at BYHA is moving forward. Our efforts will begin by building a strong foundation at the 6U and 8U levels—introducing more girls to hockey, developing players locally, and creating something that can grow with them.

We are committed to getting this right—not simply getting it done.

With continued growth and community support, our goal is to once again offer sustainable opportunities for older girls within the next one to two years.
