Ready, set, decorate!

Youth ages 8–18 are invited to bring their creativity to this high-energy, live cake decorating competition, Cake It 'Til You Make It. Participants will compete in timed rounds—beginner and intermediate/advanced levels—to transform plain cakes into themed masterpieces while building confidence, creativity, and real-world skills like planning, time management, and presentation.

Registration is officially open for Camp Kaleido!

Camp Kaleido is a full-day art immersion experience where youth, ages 8-12, explore the spectrum of creative expression through hands-on workshops, collaborative projects, and experimentation. Led by the 4-H Creative Collective Art Ambassador Team, campers rotate through stations that highlight visual, performing, and interdisciplinary arts, each designed to spark imagination, build skills, and celebrate individuality.

• Location: 4-H Memorial Camp, Monticello
• Cost: $50 (lunch included)

Join us for the 2026 State Horse Speaking Contest on April 18 on the University of Illinois campus!

4-H Horse Speaking contests help youth gain self-confidence, courage and persuasiveness; share ideas with others; and develop the ability to speak in public to inform others about horse-related subjects and the 4-H Horse project.

Big Ideas, Clear Displays! Get ready for our virtual session, Building a Better 4-H Poster, on March 18, 2026, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm!

Ever wonder why some posters grab your attention right away? In this workshop, 4-H youth will learn simple design and presentation tips that help posters stand out and clearly tell a story. We’ll talk about common mistakes, smart design choices, and easy ways to improve posters without starting over. Open to 4-H members age 8 – 18.
