2. Only professionals should talk about su***de because they are best equipped to help

False. Anyone can help. Talking about su***de opens a safe space for others to seek support.

3. If someone really wanted to die by su***de, they wouldn’t talk about it.

False. Many people thinking about su***de do reach out. Talking about su***de is often a sign that they want help.

4. Talking about su***de is too upsetting for people experiencing experiencing a mental health crisis.

False. For those already experiencing a mental health crisis, asking about su***de demonstrates that we are able to talk about what they are going through, without stigma.
