Yesterday's storm came through our rescue and showed us just how powerful Mother Nature can be. There were definitely moments when it was hard not to feel discouraged. As a nonprofit, every unexpected repair and expense is a challenge, and with volunteers already hard to come by, it can feel overwhelming.
But after the initial frustration faded, we reminded ourselves of something important: the work will get done. Work on a farm is never-ending, and every obstacle is just another part of the journey. Most importantly, everyone is safe. While we did sustain some damage, we are incredibly thankful it wasn't worse, and our hearts go out to those who were hit even harder by the storm.
At this time, we are also without power, so our response to phone calls and emails will be very limited until service is restored. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
