Heavy rain over Friday and Saturday flooded FFICM Ethiopia National Director Eskinder's home, while he is away training in South Asia.

Floodwater poured into the house and kitchen, turning the low-lying compound into what looked like a lake. His family tried to bail out the water, but it was overwhelming — nothing like this had happened before.

The two days of rain have also caused new cracks in the house, which is now losing its balance.

Even so, Eskinder is deeply thankful: God protected his wife, Ruth, and their children, and everyone is safe.

Pictured here are five attendees who heard about week one only after it ended — and were so eager to be equipped that they rode a bus four hours on their own, sleeping on a church floor all week to catch up.

This week our team reached a third training site safely, high in the mountains where less than 1% follow Jesus.

Attendance climbed fast: 70 church leaders on day one, 101 by day three — seasoned believers spending all day, every day learning to lead others to faith.

As Rich put it: "These are people pioneering the Gospel message in their area."

Rich and the team had a successful second week of training last week — praise God!

They've now arrived safely at the third training center, high in the mountains, where cooler temperatures and rain have replaced the heat of the lowlands.

Training begins tomorrow, and we're asking you to pray:

🙏 For the team's health as they adjust to the climate.
🙏 Healing for Endeshaw, as he has been having persistent headaches.
🙏 For safe travel for all seventy trainees making their way to the center.
🙏 That the Lord would reveal Himself powerfully to the people in this region — an area with few Christians, where Buddhist idols are part of daily life.
🙏 That many would encounter Jesus for the first time.

Our God Is Love lesson came to life for Nigerian children last month!

Sun analogies illustrated God's warmth, and a water demonstration showed that His love never runs dry — it's ever-flowing.

Our Nigeria children's program writers, J. and Y., role-played the difference between an unloving God and His true loving nature, offering plenty of verbal affirmation to help the truth land.

FFICM Ethiopia National Director Eskinder travels to South Asia on Saturday for two weeks of training alongside Rich and the team, with an eight-hour layover en route.

Please pray for a smooth flight, for God's protection, strength, good health, and guidance for Eskinder as he trains local church leaders.

We also received word that one of our South Asia coordinators was bitten by a cobra and is hospitalized — likely unable to join the training. Please pray for his speedy, full recovery.

Rich shared something remarkable — many of the local church leaders in this training are new believers themselves.

Pray for the team as they modify the training to fit their needs, and that God fills these local church leaders with His understanding and guides them as they lead others to Christ.

Praise report: For months, you prayed alongside us for Sam, who lives on the outskirts of his community, asking that a wall be built around his home. God answered!

Sam now has that wall, and he says it's brought him and his family deep relief, joy, and a renewed sense of God's faithfulness.

Since launching in January, the FFICM Nigeria women's ministry has gone into some of the most overlooked corners of their community: hospitals, prisons, and marketplaces, among other areas.

These aren't easy places to reach people. But again and again, the team says the same thing: people are willing to listen. God keeps opening doors.

The model is simple: teach them, train them, and send them out to spread the Gospel further.

What they need:
→ New materials for real situations they encounter.
→ Trade classes (bean pie making, soap making, baked goods) to help new believers leave behind old environments and build sustainable income.
→ More phone data so the women can stay connected between visits, and eventually a dedicated ministry line.

At its heart, this is about sitting with people, helping them feel understood, and walking with them into a lasting relationship with Jesus.

Please pray with us — for God's guidance, protection, favor, and provision as this ministry grows!

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea" (Psalm 139: 7-9, NIV).

Praise report!

Rich, along with two of our children's program writers and editors, Jummai and Yop, have began field testing the first few lessons of our children's materials in Nigeria!

During the teaching of Lesson 1, God is Spirit, Jummai used a room fan as a demonstration and asked the group of children, "Can you see the air?" To which the children responded, "No."

She then proceeds to ask, "Can you feel it?" Again they said, "No."

Jummai explained that this is the same way with God. Though we cannot physically see Him, He is always there with us and is around us.

God is always with the children, everywhere they go: at school, in their homes, at night in the dark as they sleep in their beds. God is with them!

Please continue to pray as our FFICM children's program team refines these materials — that they would be culturally relevant, come alive for the children who receive them, and, most importantly, draw each child into a long-lasting, fruitful relationship with God.
