Firm Foundation In Christ Ministries

Firm Foundation In Christ Ministries FFICM trains the Church on how to follow-up new believers.

05/29/2026

Two years ago, FFICM went to Hosanna, Ethiopia to dismantle the predatory prosperity gospel. Here's what happened:

Leaders and citizens rejected it. When preachers tried to return, officials shut them down. Funding dried up.

The ground is holding — and now the impact is spreading to Hadero, where 25,000 people are waiting this November at just 40 cents per person.
We're only $8,221.85 from our goal by June 15th.

Every dollar goes further than you might imagine.

Our Nigerian team is facing immense hardship amid national insecurity and violence. In response, we're launching Operation Encourage — a two-month season of prayer and care.

Each week, we'll email you spotlights of team members, their stories, and specific prayer requests.

You can submit a note, scripture, or prayer through the link, and we'll deliver everything directly to the staff being lifted up that week.

This week, please pray for Mercy and Sam.

Mercy (FFICM Nigeria Trainer & Bookkeeper) is a widow raising young children. She's battling typhoid, malaria, anemia, and stress-induced high blood pressure. Two of her cousins were recently killed by Fulani militia returning home from attending a family funeral.

Sam (FFICM Nigeria Head Trainer) travels throughout northern Nigeria leading trainings. Nigeria's rising cost of living has made basic necessities a struggle, his mother's dementia weighs heavily on him, and he's trusting God for provision to build a stonewall around his property for security.

Send a note, scripture, or prayer at fficm.org/operation-encourage — please include the staff member's name with your message.

As Peter said, "This will remind the staff that they are appreciated, cared for, and not alone."

Please continue lifting up our Nigerian staff and volunteers in prayer.

FFICM National Director Peter Wash spoke with us this morning and shared how the growing insecurity in Nigeria is deeply affecting the livelihood, health, and safety of our team members.

Many face danger during daily commutes between their homes and the office, as well as while traveling extensively for ministry work.

In some areas, roads are blocked by Fulani groups and others involved in kidnappings for ransom, creating constant uncertainty and fear.

New believers and our MBB volunteers are also facing increasing threats as their faith becomes known.

In rural communities, ongoing attacks have made farming seasons extremely difficult, preventing many families from safely tending their land and providing food for their households.

We humbly ask you to cover our brothers and sisters in prayer — for God’s peace, protection, security, strength, and provision to reign throughout Nigeria.

We are also working on a special project we hope to launch this summer to send words of encouragement, prayers, and Scripture to our Nigerian team. We will keep you updated!

Hear directly from Eskinder Alemayehu, FFICM's Ethiopia National Director, on why more staff are urgently needed to reach youth and women across Ethiopia.

He's identified the people. We've already said yes to Nigeria's request. Now we're $5,000 away from saying yes to Ethiopia.

Will you help us close the gap? 📷 Give online: fficm.org/donate 📷 Or mail a check to:

In Rich’s teaching Devotion to Christ, he highlights something every believer can be assured of: the unchanging character of Jesus!

Jesus is a healer — able to restore every disease, illness, pain, and broken place.

Your pain and illnesses are important to Jesus. He took time to heal people then, and He has time to heal you now!

Thank God for His healing touch in our lives!

Please like if you have ever experienced the healing touch of Jesus!

Please lift up FFICM Nigeria’s bookkeeper and trainer, Mercy, in prayer.

She recently lost her grandmother — the woman who raised her after she lost her mother at a young age. Mercy considered her grandmother her second mother.

Last Thursday, her family laid her grandmother to rest.

Tragically, on the journey home from the funeral, two of her cousins were attacked and killed by Fulani militants.

Mercy is walking through an incredibly difficult season and is asking for prayers for God’s comfort, encouragement, peace, and strength.

She often went to her grandmother’s home for solace, and now, in her absence, the grief has been especially heavy.

Please keep Mercy and her family in your prayers.

Our overseas staff are extremely encouraged that they have a family overseas that prays for them!

Like or comment below if you have prayed for Mercy in her time of need, or share a scripture and we will pass it on.

Our Nurturing Faith Spring Fundraiser last Saturday was a success!

It was a joy to celebrate together all that God has accomplished through this ministry over the past six months.

The evening was also a meaningful opportunity to look ahead — reflecting on the doors God is opening, and the opportunities we believe He is preparing across Ethiopia, Nigeria, and South Asia in the following months to come.

Please share our recorded fundraiser link below with friends and family that you think would be blessed by this update!
