đź’ś A TRANSPARENT UPDATE FROM FAITH TO FLEE đź’ś

Hi, everyone! From the very beginning, we have promised to be transparent with our community — through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. So, here we are.

At this time, Faith to Flee is temporarily closed to new intakes due to a lack of funding.

This is not an easy update to share, but the reality is that we simply cannot continue providing the level of support survivors deserve without the funding to do so.

But we’re not giving up. In fact, we’re choosing to START FRESH. 💜

We are currently brainstorming new fundraising opportunities, and this time, we want YOU to be part of the conversation!

✨ What do you look for in a fundraiser?
✨ What events would you actually attend?
✨ What would you love to see us bring to the community?
✨ Bingo? 5Ks? Family events? Vendor markets? Dinners? Raffles? Something completely different?

Drop your ideas in the comments! 👇

Faith to Flee cannot do this work without the people who donate, share our posts, attend our events, volunteer, sponsor our mission, and continue believing in what we are trying to accomplish.

We want this next chapter to be about coming together as a community and seeing just how much we can accomplish when we do.

And we have another exciting step ahead…

💙 Faith to Flee is beginning the process of developing a MEN’S DIVISION.

Because abuse does not discriminate.

Men can be survivors too, and they deserve a safe place to be heard, believed, supported, and connected with resources.

There is a lot of work ahead of us, but we are excited about where this fresh start could take Faith to Flee.

đź’ś New ideas. New goals. A fresh start. The same mission: standing with survivors when they need someone most.

Now we want to hear from YOU! What should our first fundraiser of this new chapter be? 👇💜

💜 A Family Needs Safety Tonight — We Need Your Help 💜

Right now, Faith to Flee is working to help a family in crisis secure safe shelter away from a dangerous situation. No one should have to choose between staying somewhere unsafe and having nowhere to go.

We need to raise $600 to provide emergency shelter and help this family get to safety.

For many survivors, the hardest part isn’t deciding to leave—it’s having the resources to leave safely. Emergency shelter can mean the difference between remaining in danger and having a chance to start over.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to providing a safe place for this family to rest, regroup, and begin planning their next steps.

đź’ś $10 helps.
đź’ś $25 helps.
đź’ś $50 helps.
đź’ś Every dollar matters.

If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this post. You never know who may see it and be able to help.

Together, we can remind this family that they are not alone and that there is a community standing beside them.

đź’ś FAITH TO FLEE IS RELAUNCHING OUR SUPPORT GROUP! đź’ś

You are not alone — and you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Sometimes the hardest part of healing is feeling like no one understands what you’re going through. That’s why we are bringing back our support group in a way that is safe, accessible, and supportive for everyone who needs it.

✨ HOW IT WORKS:
Our support group will meet virtually via Zoom once a month, allowing survivors and those struggling emotionally to join from the comfort and safety of their own space.

We will also be creating a private GroupMe support chat so that when life feels heavy between meetings, you still have people to lean on. Whether you need encouragement, someone to listen, advice, prayer, or simply a reminder that you matter — we want this to be a safe place filled with support and understanding.

We are also actively working on bringing a counselor into the meetings to help guide discussions and provide additional support and healing tools.

✨ HOW TO ATTEND:
Please message us privately with:
• Your email address (for Zoom meeting links)
• Your phone number (to be added to GroupMe)

Dates and times for meetings will be sent through GroupMe.

This group is for anyone who feels overwhelmed, isolated, unheard, or simply needs someone to talk to. Healing looks different for everyone, but no one should have to go through it alone.

At Faith to Flee, we believe healing starts when people finally feel seen, heard, and supported. đź’ś

🚨 TWO MORE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARRESTS. THIS TIME, THEY WEAR BADGES. 🚨

According to reports, two Baton Rouge Police Department officers have been arrested on domestic violence-related charges and placed on restricted duty.

One officer faces a charge of domestic abuse battery. Another was arrested for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.

Let this be a reminder:

Domestic violence does not discriminate.

It happens in every neighborhood.
It happens in every income bracket.
It happens behind closed doors that appear perfect from the outside.
And yes, it can happen within the very professions people often turn to for help.

At Faith to Flee, we believe accountability matters no matter who you are, what title you hold, or what uniform you wear.

We also know that stories like this can be incredibly difficult for survivors to read—especially those who have experienced abuse by someone in a position of authority. If that’s you, please know that you are not alone, your voice matters, and help is available.

Domestic violence continues to impact families across Louisiana every single day. The numbers are staggering, and the consequences are devastating.

We will continue to advocate for survivors.
We will continue to raise awareness.
We will continue to demand that domestic violence be taken seriously.

Because no one should live in fear in their own home.

đź’ś If you stand with survivors, drop a purple heart below.
đź’ś If you are a survivor, know that we see you.
đź’ś If you need help, reach out. You do not have to walk this journey alone.

💜 SHE DIDN’T LEAVE BECAUSE SHE WAS READY. SHE LEFT BECAUSE SHE HAD TO. 💜

At 2:17 a.m., a mother sat on the edge of her bed holding her phone with trembling hands.

Her children were asleep in the next room.

The house was quiet, but it wasn’t peaceful.

For years, she had lived in fear. She had thought about leaving countless times. She had made plans, changed her mind, hoped things would get better, and convinced herself she could survive one more day.

But that night was different.

She didn’t pack a suitcase.

She didn’t take family photos.

She didn’t have money saved or a safe place waiting for her.

She grabbed her children, her keys, and every ounce of courage she had left.

When the sun came up, she was sitting in her car wondering if she had just made the biggest mistake of her life.

The question she asked was heartbreaking:

“Did I do the right thing?”

This is the part of domestic violence that many people never see.

Leaving is not the end.

For many survivors, it’s the beginning of the most dangerous chapter.

It’s the moment when they have nowhere to go, no money, no stability, and no certainty about what comes next.

All they have is courage.

But courage doesn’t pay for a hotel room.

Courage doesn’t put food on the table.

Courage doesn’t replace the belongings left behind.

Because of supporters like you, Faith to Flee was able to step in.

We helped provide a safe place to stay.
We helped make sure her children had food.
We helped connect her with resources, safety planning, and the support she needed to begin rebuilding her life.

We didn’t just help her leave.

We helped her start over.

And there are more women just like her.

Right now.

Women sitting in silence.
Women wondering if tonight is the night they should run.
Women praying someone will be there when they finally find the courage to leave.

At Faith to Flee, we want to be that someone.

Your donation provides safety, hope, emergency assistance, and a path forward for survivors and their children.

Because leaving an abusive situation shouldn’t mean facing the journey alone.

💜 If you’d like to help us stand beside survivors when they need it most, please consider donating today.

Together, we can help survivors not only escape—but begin again.

Society cannot truly heal while survivors are left fighting for protection, safety, and justice on their own.

Too often, survivors are questioned, dismissed, ignored, or forced to navigate a broken system while their abusers continue living life with little accountability. No one should have to beg to be believed. No one should have to choose between their safety and their survival.

At Faith to Flee, we believe survivors deserve to be protected, supported, and empowered. They deserve access to resources, advocacy, safe housing, legal protection, and a community that stands beside them—not one that turns away.

The conversation about domestic violence cannot end when the bruises fade. Real change happens when survivors are heard, when communities step up, and when systems prioritize victim safety over convenience.

We will continue to speak up. We will continue to advocate. And we will continue fighting for a world where survivors receive the protection, support, and justice they deserve.

đź’ś To every survivor reading this: We see you. We believe you. We stand with you.
