Hey everyone! Mr. Billy Broome and a big group of our local first responders do a Brotherhood Gear Walk every year on September 11th in memory of the 9/11/2001 first responders.

Mr. Billy is raising money to erect a memorial in Panola County to honor our own first responders by selling specially designed tshirts and hats. Shirts are $25, hats are $20. The Polka Dot Dane is handling the orders.

Love having these sweet folks represented in our downtown!!

Our staff recently gathered to launch "Hospice is for EVERY Heart in the Room" through a meaningful session of reflection and appreciation. We shared stories of the patients, families, and healthcare professionals who have profoundly impacted our lives. These experiences highlighted that while hospice affects everyone differently, the connections we build leave a lasting mark long after our paths diverge. We feel deeply honored to walk alongside people during life’s most significant moments. We are truly grateful for the hearts that touch ours, reinforcing our belief that hospice is not just for the patient—it is for every heart in the room.

Meet Caitlyn Tennyson ✨

We’re so excited for you to get to know Caitlyn, one of our nurse practitioners. 👩🏻‍⚕️

Caitlyn is a proud graduate from Strider Academy’s class of 2011. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015 before obtaining her Master’s degree from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus in 2020. She is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Caitlyn is a Charleston, MS native. She has been married to her husband, Lance, for 10 years, and together they have two children. 🩵 🩷

She has been serving patients at Downtown Family Clinic since 2022.

When she’s not caring for patients, Caitlyn enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. 🏕️✈️

We are incredibly proud to have Caitlyn on our team and serving in our community. Be sure to say hello the next time you’re at Downtown Family Clinic ✨

The Harrell Brothers, fronted by Panola County’s own Kody Shade Harrell who is quickly becoming a force in the world of modern blues and americana, draws inspiration from the likes of legendary North Mississippi bluesmen R.L. Burnside and Mississippi Fred McDowell, but also southern rockers The Allman Brothers and North Mississippi Allstars. Kody and Kane Harrell, joined by Bryan Shaw on drums, blend the raw juke joint soul of rural country blues with psychedelic improvisation and relatable writing on the southern experience, dubbed “Modern Mississippi Music.”
