☀️ Popsicles in the Park for Incoming Kindergarteners! ☀️

Calling all incoming Kindergarten families! Can you believe our little ones are the Class of 2039?! 🤯 Let’s get together, break the ice, and let the kids burn off some energy.

📍 Where: LWS Park
🍦 Provided: The PTO is supplying the popsicles!

Our goal is to host a playdate once a month this summer so the kids (and parents!) can make friends before the school year starts. More dates will be announced soon!

📅 Big News! Recipe Submissions Extended Until June 30th! 🍟🍗

Wow, our community is cooking up some absolutely amazing dishes! We’ve received so many fantastic entries that we want to make sure everyone gets a chance to be featured. We are officially extending the recipe submission deadline to June 30th!

To get your appetite moving, here is a fresh sneak peek at a few of the incredible, diverse recipes that have just come in:
🥔 Lighthouse Inn Potatoes
🍗 Grilled Salsa Verde Chicken
🧀 Pão De Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread)

Whether your family specialty is a quick weeknight standard or a beloved traditional dish from around the world, we want it in our 2026-2027 Cookbook! It only takes a few minutes to submit.

🎉☀️ Last Day of School Celebration! ☀️🎉

Tomorrow is officially the last day of school, and we are sending the kids off in style! 🎶🫧

We have an extra special dismissal planned for tomorrow afternoon. We’ll have music blasting and bubbles flying at the main entrance for the kids to walk out to as they wrap up the school year!

Parents, we need your help!
Want to join in on the celebration? We would love for you to help us fill the air with bubbles! If you want to help blow bubbles at pickup, meet us at the front by the driveway and we will hand out the bubbles to you.

Let's make this the most chaotic, fun, and memorable final dismissal yet! See you tomorrow! 🎓🥳

📚 This Monday: The LWS Book Sale is Happening!
Get those quarters ready! This coming Monday, May 18th, is the official LWS Book Sale!

For nearly 40 years, our students have kept this amazing tradition running. Every single penny raised goes directly to the Children's Operation Program in Angeles City, Philippines (run by the VFW), allowing us to fund life-changing surgeries for 1 to 2 children every single year.

Our donation bins are full, and now it’s time for the fun part—shopping! Here is how you can help your student get ready this weekend:

🪙 1. Hunt for Change!
Send your student to school with some quarters (or dollars!) on Monday morning. Every single book at the sale is just 25¢!

☀️ 2. Stock Up for Summer Reading
Students will get to shop the sale during the school day on Monday. It’s the perfect, budget-friendly way to load up on some amazing "new-to-you" books to keep them reading all summer long.

❤️ 3. Make a Difference
By shopping this Monday, our kids aren't just coming home with great new stories—they are directly helping another child live a happy, healthy life.

Let’s come together this weekend to find that spare change and get ready for a great sale on Monday! Thank you so much for your incredible support, LWS families!

Forget about defrosting dinner or doing the dishes—tomorrow is Dine Out Night!

🌺 FINAL DESTINATION: Gratitude! 🌺
And just like that, our "Around the World" Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week has officially come in for a landing! ✈️🌍

We ended our journey today in Destination: Hawaii, celebrating our incredible staff with spirit wear, leis, and all the tropical vibes to send them off toward a well-deserved weekend. 🍍😎

To our Parent Volunteers & Donors:
We are officially "unpacked" and overwhelmed by the love you showed this week. From the early morning coffee runs to the abundance of nacho toppings, your generosity made this entire itinerary possible. Whether you donated supplies, sent in a sweet postcard, or spent time helping us set up—THANK YOU. We truly have the best community "crew" in the world! 🌏❤️

To our Teachers & Staff:
We’ve traveled the world, and it’s true—there really are no others quite like you! We hope this week gave you a small glimpse into how much you are valued, respected, and loved here at Louise White. You navigate every day with such heart, and it was our absolute joy to celebrate you.
