I’m so excited to start something new this year: STEM Stories!

Each month, I’ll share a STEM-connected read-aloud with our PreK–5th grade classrooms, featuring a special guest who helps connect the story to real-world careers.

We kicked things off with one of my favorites, The Magical Yet by Angela DiTerlizzi, a great reminder about perseverance, growth mindset, and the power of YET!

Families, at the end of each month, I’ll share the read-aloud here. If your child’s class hasn’t had a chance to listen at school, or if you’d just like to enjoy it again, feel free to watch the story with your kiddos at home and try out the optional STEM activity together as a family!

The weather is looking **perfect for our Splash Pad Meet & Greet!** Come splash, play, and meet some of the other families in your child’s class!

**When you arrive:**
👋 Stop by the **PTO table to check in** before heading off to play!

🍧 Then, after you’ve worked up a sweat, **swing back by the PTO table for a popsicle** to cool off! PTO will have them waiting for you. 😋

Bring your swimsuits, towels, and the family—we can’t wait to see everyone for a **splashing good time!** 💦☀️🐾

💦🌞 SPLASH PAD MEET & GREET! 🌞💦

Come cool off with us and meet some of the families from your child’s new class! 💙💚

Join us Friday, August 28th at 6:00 PM at the Basehor Splash Pad for a fun, laid-back evening of splashing, playing, and getting to know one another before the school year gets into full swing! 🐾

Bring the kiddos, a lawn chair, and your best summer vibes! 🌊☀️ Snacks are welcome in the green space, but food and drinks aren’t allowed in the splash pad area.

We can’t wait to see you there!
