Basehor Community Volunteers are excited to announce this year’s Yard of the Year!
This beautiful yard was selected from the outstanding 2026 Yard of the Month winners and truly stood out for its exceptional landscaping, creativity, curb appeal, and attention to detail.

The owners' hard work and dedication to creating such a beautiful outdoor space have helped make our Basehor community a more beautiful place to live.

Fall is in the air and the Basehor Community Volunteers are thinking ahead to the 20/7 Annual Basehor Garden Tour. 🌻We are looking for five gardens for next year’s tour. 👩‍🌾 If you are interested in being part of the tour or if you want to recommend a friend’s garden 🪏for the tour; please message me their contact information. Gardeners will meet to select a date and discuss other details relating to the tour.

This is a fund raiser for the Basehor Community Volunteers. Any profits made will be used to either support community events, provide scholarships for graduating BLHS seniors, or help with other local nonprofits.

If you are interested in joining us plan future events our next meeting is Monday, September 21st at 6:30 P.M. We meet in the basement meeting room of the Basehor Community Library. We hope you will join us. 😊

This week the Basehor Community Volunteers teamed up with the Basehor VFW for their annual Rib, Pulled Pork, and Side sale. We were there every night to help the Veterans pass out orders. This year we made a sold pints of baked beans for the sale.
We are always looking for ideas to help the city, businesses, and organizations. If you have ideas on ways to help please join us at our next meeting at the Basehor Community Library at 6:30 PM on September 21st. We are meeting in the basement meeting room. We hope you will join us.

The Basehor Community Volunteers (BVC) teamed up with the Basehor-Linwood Kiwanis Club to help the City with their free screening of Field of Dreams, for Cinema Friday Night, August 14th.
The BVC popped the free popcorn 🍿. The hardest part of that job was getting the plastic helmets separated.
The Kiwanis helped with the pitching activity.
The weather was fantastic. The children enjoyed the splash pad and board games, so it was a fun time for everyone. Thank you City of Basehor for inviting us! Let us know how we can help again.
