Today, the Bartow Kiwanis Club is celebrating a very special milestone — 90 amazing years of Russ Canon! 🥳

Russ has been a long-time member of Kiwanis, giving his time, friendship, and service to our community for many years. We are incredibly grateful for his dedication to Kiwanis and, most importantly, for the wonderful person he is.

We are so happy to have the opportunity to share this special day with Russ and celebrate 90 years of a life well lived and a legacy of service to others. ❤️

🌈 Bartow Kiwanis Welcomes Caitlin Purschell! 🌈

Our speaker today was Caitlin Pueschell from the Future Educators Academy (FEA). We learned about a fantastic upcoming event that combines fun, fitness, and a great cause!

🏃‍♀️🎨 FEA Color Run 🎨🏃‍♂️
FEA is hosting a Color Run to raise money for the Jean Odell Learning Center!

📅 September 19th
📍 Starting on Tharpe Street near Bartow High School
🏃 Fun Run/Walk — approximately 1 mile
💲 $20 per participant
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Open to the public!

This is a great opportunity to get the family, friends, and community together while supporting a wonderful cause. 💙

🌿🥾 Bartow Kiwanis Welcomes Our Guest Speakers! 🥾🌿

We were thrilled to welcome Linda Osborne and Monika Hoerl as our guest speakers at Bartow Kiwanis! They joined us from the Florida Trail System and shared an incredibly interesting presentation about the amazing trail systems we have right here in Florida, as well as trails across the nation.

From local adventures to the vast network of trails throughout the country, they gave us plenty of inspiration to get outside, explore, and enjoy the beauty around us! 🌳🌎

What a fantastic program! Thank you, Linda and Monika, for sharing your knowledge and passion for the trails with Bartow Kiwanis. We truly appreciate all you do to help people discover and enjoy the great outdoors! ❤️

🎳 Supporting Our Local Youth! 💙💛

The Bartow Kiwanis Club was honored to welcome Anthony Cohen from the Bartow Youth Bowling League as our guest speaker last Friday.

We are proud to support the amazing work being done to provide local youth with opportunities to learn, compete, and grow through the sport of bowling. As part of our commitment to serving the children of our community, the Bartow Kiwanis Club was pleased to present a donation to help purchase team uniforms and equipment for the league.

Investing in our youth is at the heart of what Kiwanis is all about, and we’re grateful for organizations like the Bartow Youth Bowling League that make a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Please note that the Bartow Kiwanis Club will not hold its regular meeting on Friday, July 3rd, as we join our community in celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary of independence.

Independence Day, celebrated on July 4th, commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, when the American colonies declared their freedom from British rule. It is a time to celebrate the ideals of liberty, opportunity, and unity that continue to shape our nation.

As we mark this historic 250th year of American independence, we encourage everyone to enjoy the holiday safely with family, friends, and community celebrations.

We wish you a happy and patriotic Independence Day weekend and look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting!
