Sooo… A week ago today, on my way home from work , I saw these beautiful hens, dumped, in the middle of nowhere.
I drove home, loaded up a crate, and headed back, knowing that they would be a coyote’s dinner come sundown.
With two apples, I tried to grab them. I managed to capture two. A few passerby people lent a hand. One hen actually hopped onto the truck bed, just so she could be with her 2 crated friends.
Let that sink in!
Thanks to Michelle, Courtney and another gentleman for helping me get all 6 girls to safety.
They are now safe here at LPS .
A more suitable area will be built soon.
We would love to have a hen house with an enclosed run . We definitely have the property for a poultry rescue.
