Barrington Youth Football

Barrington Youth Football Boys Flag, Girls Flag and TCYFL Tackle There is a draft process to pick fair teams and play-offs to cap off the season. Players range in age from 7 to 14.

Barrington Youth Football Overview

The flag program is an in-house, non-travel league where the teams are comprised of Barrington area kids from age 5 to 13. BYF Tackle teams play in a travel league competing against other towns and football organizations that are members of the The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL). The BYF tackle program has two types of teams:

"Big Ten" - There is one

"Big Ten" team per level that plays on Sunday. The players are selected by the team's head coach to represent BYF's most competitive players at each age and weight level. "Pac Ten" - Remaining players are equally split among "Pac Ten" teams that play mostly on Saturday. For these teams, the rules mandate equal playing time and the emphasis is instruction, development and participation. The BYF Flag and Tackle program share the same Mission and Objectives of teaching the fundementals of football, good sportsmanship and the love of the game, while building the self-esteem and character of all participants.

We have a big Dump Truck riding in the parade and more details to come but for now, we need to start collecting candy for our athletes to hand out!
