As Executive Director of the Allendale & Barnwell Counties Disabilities and Special Needs Board, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible Direct Support Professionals for the work they do each and every day.

Our DSPs are the heart of our agency. You provide support, encouragement, compassion, dignity, and care to the individuals we are privileged to serve. Your dedication often goes far beyond a job description, and the difference you make in the lives of others does not go unnoticed.

Today, we wear red, white, and blue. Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Today, we pause to honor the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who responded with courage and selflessness.

We also honor the men and women who continue to put their lives on the line each day to protect and serve our communities and our country.

May we never forget the strength, unity, and compassion shown in the days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We stand together. ❤️🤍💙

Celebrating Independence Together! ❤️🤍💙

On July 2, the individuals of Allendale Barnwell Disabilities and Special Needs Board enjoyed a fun-filled Independence Day Celebration at Barnwell State Park!

The day was filled with laughter, delicious food, games, music, and time spent together celebrating our nation's freedom. Most importantly, it was a day of creating memories, sharing smiles, and enjoying the friendships that make our agency so special.

We are grateful to our dedicated staff, and everyone who helped make this celebration such a wonderful success. Seeing the joy on the faces of the individuals we serve is what makes our work so rewarding.

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July!

💗 Today, We Wear Pink. 💗

Today our team proudly wore pink to stand together against child abuse and to show our support for every child who deserves to grow up safe, loved, and protected.

Every child deserves a future filled with hope, kindness, and the opportunity to thrive. By wearing pink, we stand with children, families, advocates, and our community in raising awareness and reminding others that protecting children is everyone's responsibility.

Together, we can help create a world where every child feels safe, valued, and heard.
