Yellow Thunder Amateur Radio Club Today's club maintains around 50 to 60 members and owns and operates 2 VHF repeaters. in Baraboo, WI. Use the west entrance to the building near the parking lot.

One analog WB9FDZ on 147.315 with a tone of 123.0 and one digital D-Star on 145.3150. The analog repeater has been upgraded to include Allstar and Echolink capabilities. Allstar Node 27727

We hold regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at the Baraboo City Services Building (450 Roundhouse Ct) at 7pm. We share meeting nights with the Sauk County AR

ES/RACES group at the January, April, July, and October meetings. Meetings are open to anyone so come out and say hello!

Yesterday, Club president KD9DZT along with KC9UPE decided to take on an interesting challenge. As we’ve shared in the past, many of our members enjoy engaging in Parks on the Air. These two decided to take it one step further and activate - successfully - from the ice! The setup was done at Mirror Lake State Park just outside of Lake Delton in Sauk County.

As you can see from the log, the bands were HOT! The two had 173 contacts in two hours.

Are you interested in joining us next time we get together to put a park on the air? Reach out and get in contact! There are many fun activities we do as a club, and we love to get everyone, regardless of their age and capabilities, involved!
