Autism On the Go Autism On the Go is run by Autistics, for Autistics. We seek to advocate, educate, and build community for people on the autism spectrum.

Autism On the Go is a 501(c)(3) organization. We do have some guidelines that we ask our supporters to follow to maintain a positive environment. The following behaviors are not permitted:
Using ableist, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or hateful language. Posting pornographic material (comics, links, etc.). Links that contain viruses or are to referral sites. Attacks against members, excessive spamming, and swearing. At the discretion of the administrative team, we will delete offending posts. We may ban offenders from the page in the case of severe and/or repeated offenses.

Hear From Each Other features an Autistic speaker at each session, sharing their own story with a room of people who came specifically to listen. There is no script, no polish requirement, and no expectation that your experience be tidy or triumphant.

A creative playground where stories, characters, ideas, and self expression come to life. Bring writing, art, roleplay, fandom, a performance, or a plot problem you cannot solve. Works in progress very welcome.

Autistic Adult (18+) Group, 9PM. Weekly, steady, and yours. Come with something to say or come to listen.

A monthly virtual hangout for makers, artists, and creative minds of all kinds. Draw, knit, sculpt, collage, or just poke at an idea you have not started yet.

Talk. Type in the chat. Turn your camera off. Turn your camera on and say nothing. Listen while you fold laundry. Drop one emoji and log off. Come late. Leave early. Rejoin next month.

We do not track participation and there is no version of attending that we consider doing it wrong. Lurking is a legitimate way to be part of a community.

If the reason you have not joined is that you did not want to be put on the spot, that reason is handled.

A free online space for Black and Brown neurodivergent and Autistic adults (18+) to connect, share, and build community across all genders and lived experiences.

Being read as Autistic and being read as a person of color are not separate experiences, and you should not have to split yourself in half to talk about either one. Here you can bring the whole thing.

Signed up for a group, then talked yourself out of joining? Happens constantly. You are welcome to try again.

Here is what actually happens in an AOG group. You click a link. Your camera is off unless you turn it on. Nobody makes you introduce yourself. You can type instead of talking. You can say nothing for the whole hour. You can leave when you are done, without explaining.

That is not a lowered expectation. That is the design.
