Last night, program staff attended a screening of the documentary Saving Etting Street about black women build - baltimore at SNF Parkway Theatre / MdFF. One of our board members Chanelle Austin was featured in the film and was part of a panel discussion afterwards. We are excited to introduce our MarylandCorps fellow Janai Fields, who will be working with our Jubilee Arts | Art dance classes program! Janai is thrilled to return to Jubilee Arts, a program that shaped her own artistic path as a kid. Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the MarylandCorps opening ceremony. We are honored that Jubilee Arts | Art dance classes will be participating as a MarylandCorps host site for the first time this year! Thank you to Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI) for hosting us and to Governor Wes Moore and Senator Cory McRae for their inspiring words.
