Show Your Soft Side Founded in Baltimore, a campaign created to combat animal abuse & support the most vulnerable. Today, Show Your Soft Side, Inc.

Show Your Soft Side is a public service campaign that was created to change the mindset of young people who all-too-often view the maiming and torturing of defenseless cats and dogs as a sign of “toughness” or “manhood.” The campaign’s message that compassion towards animals is a strength, not a weakness, is one that struck a chord with young and old alike. uses its reach and resources to build a better world for animals and, in doing so, build better adults.

On October 1st, Senate Bill 314 went into effect in Maryland, which makes it easier for businesses to donate usable pet food and supplies to animal shelters, rescues, and other organizations. Deepest gratitude to Stacey Volodin, Maryland State Director for Humane World for Animals, who helped us celebrate the occasion with a generous donation of pet food from Chewy, which we distributed to pet food pantries in the region. Many thanks to bill sponsor Senator Jeff Waldstreicher, who joined us as well, along with our wonderful volunteers, who did so much heavy lifting. We were to honored to join Humane World for Animals and our coalition partners to support this bill, which will help keep families and their beloved pets together.

The search for Luna the Jack Russell Terrier has a happy ending. On October 14, officials rescued the dog after a month-long search.
