DETAILS ABOUT THE FORGE DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY:
THE FORGE is a faith-based Christ centered discipleship ministry and transitional living for men who are ready to commit to the process of:
- Overcoming their struggle with substance abuse, mental/emotional brokenness, faulty belief systems, and/or empty destructive living.
- Pursuing and obtaining the life that only God provides as we walk in relationship with Him and in cooperation with His truth as He reveals both to us. This pursuit leads us to a life filled with aliveness, significance, security, and belonging! We believe surface level recovery is not recovery at all. If we are to truly know an ongoing freedom and experience the beautiful life God intended for us, it must begin in the core of our inner man. We address ALL AREAS of men’s lives so that with God’s leading, continual life changing experiences with His truth, and a Christ centered community, men gain long term success in ALL AREAS:
- BEING (THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD & THE CONDITION OF THEIR INNER MAN),
- BONDS (THEIR RELATIONSHIPS)
- BODY (THEIR HEALTH)
- BUSINESS (THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, CALLING, & FINANCES)
The Forge is a structured living environment for men needing support & guidance in a particularly hard season of their lives. This is an environment with curfews, boundaries, community, accountability, and support that helps someone transition into a strong independent & thriving life. Guests are encouraged to make a 6 month to 1 year commitment so that they may have time to experience true growth and find stability as they build a new life. We desire to help empower the men who commit to this journey to heal from every wounded or broken place in their lives, break free from every fearful lie, to shed the shame of their past, and embrace a vibrant manhood that walks in wholeness, love, strength, confidence, honor, and pure hearted dominion. We want each of these men to experience the reality of not only becoming a productive member of society, but through their godly transformation and humble service to others, also becoming an HONORED member of it as well!!! The 2 most important areas of commitment we ask from men are to:
1. Surrender their hearts to God the best that they know how and then daily choose to follow/cooperate with Him as He leads them through the process of restoration.
2. Allow us to love and help them in this process. Our desire at THE FORGE is to walk along side them in this journey and to help them not just in their spiritual needs, but in their natural needs as well. We want to build a true brotherhood amongst the men that choose to do life with us.

Here is a list of some of the *LIFE BUILDING SERVICES we desire to provide for the men who are accepted into THE FORGE:
✔ EMPLOYMENT:
- To meet with & build a network of as many different employers as possible that will be willing to hire these men based upon their specific skill sets.
- To offer employers an employee who will have the right job skills, be at work each day, be drug/alcohol free, & have good work ethic/attitudes. For many employers, that's better than a majority of their current employees already.
- To assist with the obtainment of necessary employment requirements such as TWIC, OSHA, workwear, etc.
- You can help change lives by referring us to ANY employers you know to help us build this network.
- You can help change lives if you are an employer by your willingness to join in this network.
✔ TRANSPORTATION:
- To help get the men to and from their jobs each day.
- If you know of anyone wanting to donate a SUV or van, please refer them to us.
- If you would like to volunteer your time to occasionally drive a job route, please let us know.
✔ SCHOOL OR TRADE:
- To give guidance, connect with tutors, inspire toward goal careers, and assist with a plan of action to succeed.
- If you can refer us to anyone that could help these men with their pursuit of secondary education, that would be great.
✔ PERSONAL FINANCES:
- To help with budget training & accountability.
- To help them with credit building/repair.
- To work with the men helping them learn how to be good stewards over their finances. We want to instill in them a “big picture” perspective when it comes to saving, spending, and investing.
- To help them create savings for a vehicle & ultimately a home.
- If you can refer us to any financial advisers you know, that would be great.
✔ HEALTH/DENTAL:
- To promote overall physical wellness. We will help them towards evaluations, care, fitness, stewardship, and assist in the obtainment of health insurance.
✔ LEGAL:
- To assist with creating a plan and an accountability to take care of any & all legal responsibilities (including child support).
✔ DRIVER'S LICENCE:
- To assist with creating a plan & an accountability to acquire their license if needed.
✔ VEHICLE:
- To meet with & build a network of car dealerships willing to help the men purchase a means of transportation once they have saved up enough money.
- If you can refer any car dealers you know, that would be great.
- If you are a dealer that is willing to join in this network, please let us know.
✔ PERSONAL HOUSING:
- To assist with creating a plan & an accountability to get into their own personal home.
✔ PERSONAL WELLNESS:
- To build the reality of the foundation needed in their souls, thus adding the additional life tools and training needed to identify, overcome, and remain free from all deceptive and destructive bondages or struggles.
- To assist with creating boundaries, curfews, and accountability to achieve their life goals.
- To provide ongoing counsel, mentoring, and friendship.
- To daily encourage and challenge the men to become more well, whole, complete, purposeful.
- Weekly recovery meetings.
- We also have a network of licensed professional counselors that we can refer them to if they so desire.
✔ GOD:
- To foster an ongoing environment of Godly intimacy, Biblical discipleship, spiritual growth.
✔ FAMILY:
- To provide counseling, fellowship, and activities conducive to the restoration of the family unit.
✔ CHURCH:
- To provide transportation to church so that the men may participate, serve, and receive impartation of the preached Word of God and the Gifts of His Spirit.
- If any of the men have another home church they are welcome to attend that church, provided they follow house guidelines.
✔ COMMUNITY/BROTHERHOOD:
- To foster an environment of belonging through recovery fellowships and doing every day life together.
- To be a blessing to our local community through giving back in various forms of organized service projects.
