Seven weeks ago, these three sisters joined rescue on one of the most memorable days in our director's life... the very day her water broke! 😳👶🐾

While a baby girl made her grand entrance into the world... Elloree, Loris, and Clover made their rescue debut. Fast forward seven weeks, and the human baby has found her forever family (obviously 😉), but these three adorable sisters are STILL waiting for theirs!

🎉 Welcome Back, Ivan! 🎉

While we never hoped to see this handsome boy back in rescue, we're grateful to have the opportunity to help him find the forever home he deserves.

Ivan recently found himself back in our care after swallowing an entire rope toy, requiring emergency obstruction surgery. His previous owner loved him dearly but was unable to afford the extensive veterinary care needed. We know this was an incredibly difficult decision, and we're thankful Ivan was surrendered so he could receive the lifesaving treatment he needed.

The good news? Ivan is recovering well and is ready to start his next chapter!

Meet Coco! She's ready to SCOOT her way right into your heart 🐾💨

This sweet 3-year-old girl keeps her kennel clean, walks great on leash, and takes her bone-chewing business very seriously. She’s also been working hard on her manners… although when she gets excited, her entire body forgets personal space exists 😂

Because of her enthusiastic “love launches,” we recommend a home with older kiddos.

But if you’re looking for a goofy, lovable bestie who will happily wiggle, scoot, and bounce her way through life with you — Coco’s your girl. ❤️

Coco is also looking for a new foster home! She has finished all her required medical needs and is ready to leave her med ward foster. 🥰

We start our Monday off with an update no rescue likes to share. It is with heavy hearts that we share that our newest pull, Wendy, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

When Wendy came into our care, she was severely emaciated and battling a long list of medical conditions- diabetes, lyme, heartworms, kidney/urinary issues. From the beginning, our goal was to save her life, but quickly became making whatever time she had left as comfortable, peaceful, and full of love as possible.

After a follow-up veterinary evaluation and careful consideration of Wendy's quality of life, it was determined that humane euthanasia was the kindest gift we could give her. While this decision is never easy, it was made out of love and compassion to spare her any further suffering.

We are incredibly grateful to Wendy's foster family, who opened their hearts and home to a dog they knew they might only have for a short time. Because of them, Wendy's final weeks were filled with soft beds, warm blankets, full meals, gentle hands, and the comfort of knowing she was safe and loved.

Though her time with us was brief, Wendy mattered. She was seen. She was cherished. She was worthy of love until her very last breath.

Run free, sweet Wendy. No more hunger. No more pain. 💜🌈

‼️ FOSTER NEEDED ‼️

🔴 RETURNING TO RESCUE 🔴

Raptor:
9 months old

Raptor loves the water, the tennis ball, playing with other dogs, and taking walks/hiking. Raptor is very energetic, but will take naps with his people or his housemate during the day. He is a cuddle bug! He does well in a kennel at night or most recently, free roaming.

Raptor is still learning leash manners and walks best with a halti or a martingale collar. He also responds well to vibrate on the e collar when he is learning to navigate distractions.

Raptor wants to be around people or his housemate always. HE IS CURRENTLY IN AN ALL ADULT HOME. He will follow you from room to room and just wants to know someone is near.

Raptor loves water and is relatively easy in the bath, as long as you let him play a little bit first!

If he isn't playing fetch, playing with his housemate, or swimming you can often find him chewing on a nylabone of some sort.
He is learning to share, but has never been aggressive with food or toys.

Today, Charley’s K-9 Rescue remembers and honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

And while we reflect with gratitude, sweet little Loris is here to remind us that hope, love, and new beginnings still shine bright. This goofy girl is still searching for her forever family and would love nothing more than to spend future holidays safe at home with her people. ❤️
