Meet Kiara! 💜 This sweet girl is around 2 years old and has been waiting in rescue for OVER A YEAR. 😭 We think it’s about time this girl got her happily ever after!

Kiara is ready to hop in the truck, supervise the yard work, and most importantly… snuggle with her human when the work is done. 🥰 She absolutely LOVES cuddling and just wants to be close to her people.

🎉💙 AFTER ONE WHOLE YEAR… SMUCKERS IS HOME! 💙🎉

If you’ve been following Smuckers, you know this boy’s story. You’ve watched him wait. And wait. And wait some more.

ONE. WHOLE. YEAR. 😭

For 365 days, Smuckers wondered when it would finally be his turn. While other dogs came and went, he stayed behind. He watched families choose their forever dogs, and somehow, his person kept missing him.

But today… THAT WAIT IS OVER. 🥹🏡❤️

SMUCKERS HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! 🎉🎉🎉

His forever family finally found him, and we could not be happier for this incredibly deserving boy. The dog who spent so much time looking out the window, waiting and wondering, now gets to look out the window of his very own home.

And we need to say THANK YOU. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who shared his posts, commented on them, tagged friends, asked about him, donated, offered encouragement, sent him love, and refused to let his story disappear.

Thank you to his foster family for loving him while he waited.

Thank you to everyone who reminded us that the right family is worth waiting for.

And thank you to Smuckers for never giving up on us. 🥹

There were days when we wondered if we'd ever get to make this announcement. Days when his adoption posts felt like they were disappearing into the void.

But we kept posting.
We kept hoping.
We kept waiting.

And today, Smuckers doesn't have to wait anymore. ❤️

FREEDOM 🥹

One seven letter word can mean so much and it's changed this fella's life forever.

Rolly has *officially* left the shelter and made it to his foster pawrents. He joined Charley's this weekend and is quickly showing everyone just how much love he has to give.

We want to thank everyone who inquired about fostering this dude. While he has already secured a foster family, he is still desperately in need of medical funds.

‼️ URGENT FUNDS NEEDED ‼️

Is our most recent fundraiser struggling to fill? Yes. Has fundraising and donations in general been almost non-existent? Also yes.

But this boy needed to be a Charley's dog and as soon as we saw him we knew the Village would help us help him.

Rolly is just over 5 yrs old and landed in the shelter as a stray and by the looks of him... he hasn't known love in quite some time. His skin, his ears, his teeth and body all need medical attention and dedicated fosters to help him heal. He also needs a neuter, though, his skin is so bad that it's noted his "puffs" were hard to find. Ohhhh, yeah... and he has a heart murmur. 😩

Helping Rolly won't be easy and it damn sure will not be cheap. We are talking fish oil, preventatives, rounds of antibiotics and medicated baths. Multiple check ups to help him heal. A neuter. Maybe a dental. It will all add up.

‼️ We need you now more than ever ‼️

Hi guys! Rootie here and today I'm feeling extraaaaa fresh and fruity.

I got lots of reasons why so let me just get them all off my chest before I go play bow these cats.

🖤I landed a fostie home this week. This shiiiiii is niceeeeee. Unlimited snuggles, furry friends (I think they are friends), the classic mean "don't bother me" big sister and I went to doggy daycare. Wow. What a life. Who knew it could be this could?!?!

🖤My last surgery follow up was this week and I am CLEARED. Yup! No more restrictions, x-rays, or Dr's appts. I am READY to take on the world. (But only at my own pace and I don't *really* want to go on a long walk)

🖤I'm pending a meet and greet! Foster Ma said sum people are coming to meet me and see if they love me. How could they not? I mean... look at me. (But just in case, maybe do that app cuz I heard I give the best snuggles)

🖤OHHHH and we have 13 waffle spots left!!! Yup, that's right. I healed from my surgery before this waffle filled and that's CRAZY! Rescue Ma said I needed to ask y'all to turn $5 Friday into $20 Friday and grab these last 13 spots.

Anyways, I'll see y'all later. I got snacks to eat, snoozing to do, and people to meet. Head on over and help my rescue out with this waffle. They good people.

💙 **BLITZEN UPDATE!** 💙

Remember Blitzen? Our sweet boy who was returned to rescue after his family welcomed a new baby? Well, we have some VERY good news — **one of our amazing fosters stepped up to take Blitzen in!** 🥹🐾

And his foster family says he is settling in beautifully. Just look at how far he’s already come! 🥰

✨ **Blitzen’s foster update:**

🏠 **House manners:** He has had **no accidents in the house**. At night, he’ll even whine at the door to let his foster family know he needs to go outside. He has also mastered the doggie door and can come and go when his people are home!

🦮 **Leash walking:** He’s doing really well! Distractions can still catch his attention, so he needs some redirection, but he’s learning and improving.

💗 **Cuddles:** This boy LOVES his people. He’s happy to cuddle and even lets the kids lay on him. He frequently lays on his people like they’re his personal pillows! 😂

🐶 **Foster siblings:** He sleeps with both his furry foster sibling AND his human foster siblings. 🥹

🚗 **Car rides:** He’s doing great! The only tricky part is getting him into the car — once he’s in, he’s a good passenger.

🦴 **Crate time:** Going wonderfully! His foster family gives him a stuffed Kong to keep him busy, but he’s already laying down before they even leave the house. 🙌

One thing Blitzen will need from his forever family is **patience and understanding**. He can be scared of random things and unfamiliar noises, so he needs an adopter who is willing to help him build confidence and work through those fears. He’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary, and he needs someone who will give him the time and support to figure that out. ❤️

Blitzen is showing us that underneath those nerves is a **sweet, cuddly, loving boy who just wants to feel safe and be part of a family.** 🥹

He’s making progress every single day, and we’re so grateful to his foster family for giving him the chance to decompress, learn, and grow.

Now we just need to find the person who will make this chapter his **forever**. 🏡💙

He’s Still Looking For You… 💔

Every day, Smuckers looks out this window.

And every day, he waits.

He watches the cars. He watches the people. He looks outside as if maybe, just maybe, today will be the day his family finally comes for him. 🥺

But they never do.

Smuckers has been waiting for an entire year. A whole year of wondering when it will finally be his turn to be chosen. His turn to have a couch. His turn to have someone’s hand resting on his head. His turn to hear someone say, “You’re home.”

And honestly… our hearts are breaking for him. 💔

Right now, Smuckers is desperately in need of a new foster home URGENTLY while he continues waiting for his forever family.

He shouldn’t have to spend another day staring out this window, searching for the person who is supposed to come back for him.

We know his family is out there somewhere. We just need to help them find him.

Please… don’t let Smuckers wait another year.

If you can open your home to foster him, please reach out. If you can adopt him, even better.
