March is Social Worker Appreciation Month and this room was full of REAL impact.

Every day, social workers show up for families in ways most people will never fully understand. They advocate, protect, support, and pour into communities even when it’s not easy.

We don’t take that lightly.

We’re honored to stand in partnership with individuals who are truly doing the work and changing lives daily.

Your work matters. Your impact is felt. And you are appreciated 🤍

Many of you may not know, but resources are available directly to your door. 🤍

Through this specific program, we launched in August 2025, and to date, we have serviced over 100 underserved families. We provide groceries delivered directly to your door through Instacart or Walmart delivery.

Last year, through this program, we served families in:
• Bladen County
• Granville County
• Wake County
• Durham County

As applications prepare to reopen, we are expanding. Through this program, we will now be servicing:
• Robeson County
• Wayne County
• Johnston County
• Harnett County
• Sampson County
• Cumberland County

We remain committed to expanding access and serving families who need it most across North Carolina.

Applications will be reopening soon stay tuned for details. ✨

We’ve been a little quiet lately because we’re busy planning some amazing events and community programs for the year ahead! 💛

Behind the scenes, we’re still serving families through our Care Cart program we provide weekly grocery orders delivered right to families’ doors to help ease the burden during difficult times.

We’re also excited to share that we’ve partnered with 4 social workers this season to help us reach even more families in need throughout our community.

If you or someone you know could benefit, keep an eye out applications will reopen in May. 💜

Happy New Year from all of us at Friends of Avail Inc. 🎉

We’re back and ready to serve! Grocery orders never stopped going out, and we’re already planning our next Community Wash Day details coming soon.

To our amazing community partners: deliveries will begin again next week. Thank you for standing with us as we continue serving our community with care and consistency.

Today we had the opportunity to bless our community with a gas giveaway, distributing $1,500 in gas right in Bladen County.

It was a wonderful day, and we’re grateful to everyone who stopped by and allowed us to support them. While we didn’t get a chance to take photos ourselves, we’re thankful so many of you captured the moment.

Thank you all for coming out and allowing us to serve. 💙

✨ What a Busy & Beautiful Holiday Season! ✨

December 18th and 19th, we were blessed to gift well over 150 children with holiday gifts. While we weren’t able to capture a final video of all the gifts, every smile, hug, and heartfelt “thank you” reminded us why this work matters.

To every family who came out and trusted us to be a small part of your holiday thank you. Your presence, your support, and your community mean everything to us.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Central Prison for partnering with us and generously sponsoring five families this holiday season. Your support helped make a real difference.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve and look forward to continuing this work together. 💙🎁
