For those who are new here, meet Royal Ramey, CEO and Co-Founder of the Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program.

Royal’s journey is at the heart of why FFRP exists. Formerly incarcerated and later granted a pardon, Royal turned his lived experience into a mission to break down barriers to careers in the fire service.

Today, he’s a TED Fellows, Obama Foundation Leader, and advocate for creating real pathways to careers for people who have historically been shut out of these opportunities.💪🌲

Through FFRP, Royal and our team are working to ensure that justice-impacted and underserved individuals have access to the training, support, and opportunities they need to build meaningful careers, while helping strengthen the workforce protecting our communities and natural lands.🔥🌎
