This orange tabby female is Gouda, the last of the “Cheese” litter. After her and her siblings were surrendered, Gouda remained more on the reserved side. She would play with the other animals and co exist around the humans in the home, but would in and hide when approached by people. As time went on, Gouda began to slowly relax, but still wouldn’t allow herself to be picked up. But, once the last of her litter was adopted, it seemed to cause a shift in her personality and she began allowing people in her space. Just within days she was like a whole new cat! Playing with people, following the foster parents around, engaging with a toddler, etc. we think she is ready to find her own home now. She will just need some extra time to adjust.
Because of her high social needs, her future home would have another cat, or be adopted with another kitten as a pair. She doesn’t mind dogs as long as they respect her space.
💜Gouda is litterbox trained. She is good with other cats and dogs and children!
