Last week, Amy traded in her peer coach hat for a furniture assembly hat and helped put together a bed for a participant at her sober living. 🔨

Sometimes this work looks like hunting down the right screwdriver, sorting through a pile of parts, and trying to figure out why there are three extra screws left over. 😅

A bed might not seem like a huge deal, but when you're getting settled into a new place, it matters. Having somewhere to sleep, somewhere to recharge, and one less thing to worry about can go a long way.

We're also happy to report the bed survived the assembly process and nobody lost a finger. 👍

Participant Spotlight: Timothy ✨

There are some milestones that help make everything click into place.

Timothy worked with his peer coach and was able to obtain his own cell phone. For him, it means access to his finances, staying connected, answering calls, and handling the things most of us take for granted.

The phone was a milestone, but what came next was the moment that mattered most.

Timothy used his brand new phone to call his mom for the first time in several years. That's the kind of moment that doesn't show up on a resume or a recovery plan, but it matters.

These are the moments that make an impact and we can't wait to see what happens next! ❤️

Some people spent their childhood trying to beat video games.

Now we're out here trying to beat paperwork, waiting lists, voicemail systems, and transportation schedules.

Honestly, some of those bosses are harder.

The good news? Nobody has to play this game alone.

Behind the scenes, Kaitie has been spending time sharpening the skills that help keep THRIVE moving forward.

Recently, she completed the Working Smarter, Not Harder cohort through 1si and earned her Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma certification. The program focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement, increasing efficiency, and creating stronger systems within organizations.

While participants may never see the spreadsheets, workflows, or process improvements happening behind the scenes, they feel the impact. Stronger systems help us reduce barriers, respond more effectively, and spend more time focused on what matters most: supporting people as they work toward their goals.

Congratulations, Kaitie, on this accomplishment!

Community impact doesn't happen in silos. It happens when organizations, agencies, and individuals come together around a shared goal: helping people access the support they need.

We're grateful for partners like Anna, Behavioral Health Navigator with the Jefferson County Health Department, who is helping bridge gaps and connect community members to critical behavioral health resources. Together, we're working to make sure people know where to turn, what services are available, and that they don't have to navigate challenges alone.

Thank you to RVR for hosting last week's Resource Fair and creating another opportunity for community partners to connect, collaborate, and serve Jefferson County residents.

When strong partnerships meet community needs, everyone benefits.
