New Horizons has a reputation for providing excellent programs and services and a wonderful staff dedicated to continuing our commitment to excellence. Among the people who receive services at New Horizons, are individuals who are 16 years of age and older with a disability, who face barriers to employment. We work with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, physical disabilities, blindness, p

ersons who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as those who are learning disabled, industrially injured, or traumatically brain injured. The purpose of all of our programs is to provide the environment, training, and support for people with disabilities to achieve their highest level of vocational and social competence. New Horizons service coordination staff offer the support and resources necessary to help you meet the mandated requirements for accessing services. Our dedicated staff will provide individualized guidance in
directing you to the proper referral organization to gain approval. We are here to help so please contact the location nearest you. What an eventful afternoon for our Northern Oakland County team! 🌞🛶

Individuals enjoyed a community inclusion outing to Independence Oaks County Park, where they had the opportunity to watch canoes and kayaks launch, learn about water safety, and explore the beautiful (and breezy) outdoors.

Afterward, the group headed to Culver's for lunch, where individuals practiced important life and independence skills by ordering and paying for their meals themselves.

Community outings like these help build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections while creating lasting memories. Great job, team! 👏💙

Last Friday, we had the privilege of hosting our Staff Appreciation Event at UWM Field to celebrate and thank our hardworking, mission-driven team members for their unwavering dedication to breaking employment barriers. 🫶

We were grateful for a wonderful turnout, beautiful weather, and the opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy the game together. ⚾
