The parks dept did a nice job transforming it from construction site, to a presentable monument of monuments! There’s much MUCH more finish work that needs to be done to the site, before we have a formal dedication and turnover to the city. Come see it today after the city’s Memorial Day parade (it steps off at 10AM), where we will be doing a “soft” dedication. Don’t worry about the rain. Our troops died in the rain, so we will march in the rain to honor and remember their sacrifices. As a grateful nation, we owe that to our fallen brothers and sisters.
