Congratulations to our Founder and CEO, Roshelle Darlene Hudson
✨ Board Introduction ✨
We are honored to introduce R. Darlene Hudson (Roshelle “Darlene” Hudson) as a member of the Board of Directors for THE HEALING STAGE.
Ms. Hudson is a Southern community organizer, health educator, and social worker with over 30 years of experience in public health, child welfare, and grassroots advocacy. Her professional career spans service with the State Health Department in Arkansas and child welfare work in Atlanta, where she has lived and organized since 1998.
In 2002, she co-founded the Rustin/Lorde Breakfast, honoring the legacies of Bayard Rustin and Audre Lorde and creating space for reflection, community, and movement-building during MLK Day weekend. Her leadership history includes service on Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ LGBTQ+ Advisory Board, leadership roles with Destiny Achievers Academy, and co-chairing the State of Black Gay America Summit.
Ms. Hudson is also the founder of Arkansas’s first Black gay organization, Brotha’s and Sista’s, addressing HIV/AIDS awareness and social justice, and has served as Executive Director of In the Life Atlanta. A published author and recipient of numerous community service honors, her work reflects a lifelong commitment to equity, care, and collective action.
As a board member of THE HEALING STAGE, Ms. Hudson brings deep community wisdom, public health insight, and movement leadership to support our mission and long-term impact.
