We extend our sincere appreciation to the amazing Deneise and the entire UniverSoul Circus team for their partnership and for welcoming our MDF family with such warmth and hospitality.

A special moment of the day was recognizing our distinguished honorary members:

🌹 Dr. Xernona Clayton — who experienced UniverSoul Circus for the very first time!

🌹 Sylvia Dickens — whose continued support and leadership inspire generations.

We were also proud to celebrate our 2026 Youth in Aviation graduates and scholars:

✈️ Kordell Lewis

✈️ Ken’Metrius Miller

✈️ Kelsey Griffin

✈️ Mason Latimore

And a special congratulations to our third college scholarship recipient this year!

🎓 Kelsey Griffin

Kelsey has successfully completed her freshman year at Middle Georgia State University and will enter her sophomore year pursuing her dream of becoming a commercial pilot.

At Motherless Daughters Foundation, moments like these remind us that exposure creates opportunity, and opportunity changes lives.

Thank you to our volunteers, parents, supporters, and partners for helping us create lasting memories for our youth and families.

Congratulations to our Student of the Month!

Faith is a disciplined, focused, and service-minded homeschooled 8th grader whose March accomplishments reflect academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to personal growth. Faith is already challenging herself beyond her grade level by taking high school-level math and science courses, along with an English 101 college course.

In March, Faith was promoted to Staff Sergeant in Civil Air Patrol, where she serves as an Element Leader for Alpha Flight. In this role, she helps manage and mentor six cadets through leadership support, drills, and uniform checks. Her promotion reflects her discipline, responsibility, and willingness to lead by example.

Faith’s passion for aviation continues to open exciting doors. She received her second Delta Air Lines scholarship to attend the National Flight Academy in Pensacola, Florida, an opportunity that supports her growing interest in aviation and leadership. She was also unanimously selected by the Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta Program Directors to receive a scholarship to attend a two-week summer leadership academy.

Whether she is excelling in advanced academics, mentoring cadets, preparing for aviation opportunities, or developing as a young leader, Faith continues to demonstrate confidence, humility, and purpose. She is a shining example of what it means to work hard, lead well, and dream boldly. Faith's journey try demonstrates life lived by faith, discipline, and with determination, dreams really can take flight.

Honoring and Celebrating Legacy

Our annual Mother’s Day gathering was truly a beautiful and heartfelt time of love, reflection, fellowship, and celebration. As we came together in an intimate setting, we honored our matriarchs and mothers, paid tribute to our beloved mothers who are now in heaven, and celebrated alongside the honorary mothers of Motherless Daughters Foundation who continue to uplift and inspire others through their love and support.

It was truly an honor to recognize the incredible legacy of legendary civil rights activist and founder of the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Dr. Xernona Clayton, along with Atlanta’s beloved First Mother, Ms. Sylvia Dickens. Their leadership, grace, and impact continue to inspire generations.

This year, we were blessed to be hosted by the amazing team at Restaurant 356 at the Porsche Experience Center and welcomed by an extraordinary all-women chef team from Bon Appétit Management Company. The hospitality, fellowship, heartfelt conversations, and wisdom shared throughout the evening made the experience truly memorable.

Moments like these remind us why Motherless Daughters Foundation continues its mission of creating spaces for healing, mentorship, inspiration, exposure, and empowerment for youth and families throughout our communities.

It was a beautiful way to begin Mother’s Day weekend filled with legacy, love, honor, gratitude, and celebration. 💕
