We would like to thank everyone that came out for the Geocache 101 and a big Thank you to Gordon and Cathy for leading this event. It was a good day even though it rained.

The Friends group is looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday at the Geocaches Event on June 20th at 1:00 pm. Come on out to the day use area and learn about Geocaching! The Friends group will also have Clear Lake T-shirts and new Clear Lake hoodies available!

Recreational passport is required for entry to the park.

The Friends of Clear Lake State Park are sponsoring "Geocaching 101". June 20, 2026 at 1:00pm

Come out to the Clear Lake State Park day use area on June 20, 2026 at 1:00pm to explore another outdoor adventure. An experienced geocacher will be explaining the art of geocaching. There are cleverly concealed containers all over the world. Using your smartphone or GPS, you can find these caches and sign the log and get credit. There may even be toys or treasures to exchange. For this event, there are new geocaches published and hidden treasures to be found.

For this event, you don't need a GPS, just a keen set of eyes and a secret treasure map provided at the last minute.

Come on out to meet some new "friends " and have some fun exploring the forest!
