Light from Light Our mission is to strengthen progress in Haiti, empowering local leaders for long-lasting change.

Light from Light supports the Lespwa Timoun ("Hope for Children") Clinic in three primary areas: nutrition, access to healthcare, and women and children. Light from Light exists to serve communities with our time, medical, educational and spiritual resources so that they may be sustainable on their own.

Malnutrition is one of the greatest health challenges facing children in Haiti, but at the Lespwa Timoun Clinic, our medical team is working every day to change that.

Last year alone, 4,790 children were screened for malnutrition through our clinic, and we are believing for even greater impact in 2026.

Behind every number is a child cared for, a family supported, and a future filled with more hope. But there is still so much more to be done.

As we mark Haitian Flag Day, we honor Haiti’s history, celebrate its vibrant culture, and reflect on the meaning behind blue and red-unity, resilience, and a spirit that continues to inspire the world.

Happy International Nurses Day 🧡
Light from Light is so grateful for the nurses at Lespwa Timoun (“Hope for Children”) clinic in Haiti.

Every day, they bring skill, compassion, and joy-filled care to children and mothers-many experiencing consistent healthcare for the very first time.

In moments that matter most, they are there: guiding a mother through prenatal care, helping a child recover from malnutrition, and supporting families with steady, life-changing care.

Because of them, thousands of children received treatment for malnutrition last year, mothers accessed prenatal care and support, and more than 13,000 patients were served through clinic care and outreach.

This is what healing in action looks like-care that restores health, dignity, and hope.

The Lespwa Timoun Clinic constitutes to adapt and respond to high patient demand, especially in the program.

Word is out about the new clinic location, and patients are coming from all over Port-au-Prince to access care. The pharmacy and lab are ready, and the staff are working every day to provide care for those who need it most.
