Playing around in the politics of our geographic neighbors could spell disaster for US economic and drug policies. Mexico views our drug interdiction policy actions as aggressive extraterritorial overreach by a foreign superpower trying to police Mexican soil and dictate its internal governance. The U.S. needs to handle situations like this much more professionally because operating without another country’s knowledge and then suddenly requesting the arrest of one of their governors is the kind of thing that can create serious tensions between nations. Tension that could cost Americans even more at the grocery store.

Looks like another system methodically being gutted like the Department of Education. Through these policy changes it becomes essentially deportation by default for those who are not affluent enough. Removing safeguards to the system does not make our borders safer or filter out bad actors, it just means everyone who goes through the process is guaranteed to have a certain amount of wealth/influence.
