Congratulations to these outstanding band students!
Congratulations to our talented 13 upper school students who auditioned and made the cut for this year’s District Honor Band. They auditioned with over 950 students from more than 30 high schools. There were just over 200 students divided into three bands that made up the honor bands.
They rehearsed with these outstanding guest conductors:
-Dr. Laura Moates Stanley from Brookwood HS
-Associate Director of Bands, Jacksonville University in Florida, Mr. Chris Cresswell
-Commander of the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest, LT. Col. Brian Miller
After three days of practice with their new conductors and new band friends, they performed in front of a packed house in the 1000 seat auditorium at Jackson County High School. What an amazing event and great opportunity for our young musicians!
