🎨 Five Points is Taking Shape!
You may have noticed something BIG, bright, and colorful at Five Points! The new Five Points Downtown Athens street mural is complete, officially kicking off a larger branding effort for this growing part of our downtown. ❤️💛💚🩵
The goal is simple: give Five Points a strong identity and build on the momentum already happening here. With the Athens Farmers Market at Doug Gates Park, Baw Baw’s BBQ, Irons & Ales and opportunities for new businesses in nearby spaces, we want Five Points to be a place people recognize, explore and enjoy, not just pass through.
And this is only the beginning! More Five Points branding elements are on the way as we continue working to connect the district, support our businesses, and create an inviting sense of place.
A huge thank you to Main Street Alabama for supporting the branding initiative through grant funding, local mural artist Adam Stephenson for bringing this vision to life, Trisha Black for the mural design, and the City of Athens, Alabama Public Works Department for helping make it happen.
