To our dearest girls,

You understood the assignment this school year and exceeded every expectation just like we knew you would. We watched you grow, stretch, heal, lead, learn, and bloom right before our eyes. Some of you closed chapters that once felt impossible to finish, and now you’re standing at the doorway of something brand new.

And although the next chapter may feel unfamiliar…we know you are ready.

Ready to walk boldly.
Ready to use your voice.
Ready to trust your gifts.
Ready to step fully into your power.

This year wasn’t easy for everyone. For some of you, success looked like simply surviving the hard days. For others, it was finally believing in yourselves enough to dream again. Some of you found your confidence. Some of you found your purpose. Some of you created a plan when life once felt uncertain.

Every spring, the Foundation for Excellence in Public Education in Clarke County, Georgia is proud to present the Eve Carson Humanitarian Spirit Award to each one of Clarke County School District traditional elementary, middle, and high schools.

The Eve Carson Humanitarian Spirit Awards were first awarded in 2009 in memory of Clarke Central High School honor graduate Eve Carson. In her brief life, Eve exhibited a human spirit that one yearns to achieve in a lifetime. Students who embody the spirit of inclusiveness, open-mindedness, and an acceptance of others as exemplified by Eve Carson are chosen to receive this award.

Recipients of the exiting classes (5th, 8th, and 12th grades) at each level of schooling are chosen by their school to receive this honor.

Founded by Kiarra Trammell, EHA was created to provide more than programs and activities. We exist to create safe spaces, meaningful mentorship, real-life opportunities and a community where girls feel seen, heard and valued.
