Welcome to Roots To Wings! We are a community based, non-profit, with the goal of offering employment opportunities fostering an environment in which promotes teamwork and camaraderie, and improving the quality of life for our community’s disabled, also known as our Farmers. Upon discovering a need for a transitional program for our disabled students, the Eagle Co-op was created in 2014. The Eagle

Co-op was sponsored by Arlington, Nebraska Public Schools, with the focus of promoting productive lifestyles and a desire to provide experiences, which would assist our disabled students in entering the work-force. Once our disabled students left the school system their opportunities for employment were very limited. There was also a lack of mentorship for our disabled student to pursue their unique interests. Because the Eagle Co-op is a public school sponsored organization, once disabled students become 21, the state of Nebraska is no longer able to offer educational benefits. So we needed a solution. In October of 2015 Roots to Wings received their 501 (c) 3 status as a non-profit. Due to this nonprofit status we can now offer our Farmers and other demographics with special needs opportunities for employment. Roots To Wings will open our retail store in downtown Arlington, April 22nd of 2017. We will offer employment opportunities to our Farmers in the fields of; agriculture, retail, and craft apprenticeships just to name a few. It is also Roots To Wings goal to provide educational opportunities in the fields of business, public relations, sales, and customer service. Everything in the store has the fingerprint of a Farmer and our merchandise is created according to the talents and desires of each of our individual Farmers.
