We finished our summer camp season with Family Camp! What a blessing it was to spend the last couple of days with this group! They worshiped, swam, ate, played, and so much more!

Today we celebrated our amazing Summer Staff as we closed the main part of our summer season and said goodbye to the majority of our beloved staff.

This morning, as the staff drove around Camp Horizon, we felt overwhelmed. Everywhere we looked there were downed trees, broken limbs, and debris from last night's storm. We honestly wondered how we were going to be ready to welcome campers tomorrow morning.

But throughout the day, something incredible happened.

Car after car pulled into camp. Volunteers showed up. Staff kept working. Together, we cleared an unbelievable amount of trees, limbs, and brush. What felt impossible this morning became possible because so many people were willing to give their time and lend a hand.

Thank you to everyone who came out, prayed for us, encouraged us, and worked alongside us today. Camp Horizon has always been about more than our property—it's about a community of people who believe in giving children and families the opportunity to experience the life-changing impact of camp.

Our camp ministry wouldn't be where it is today without each of you. We are incredibly grateful, and we're excited to welcome campers tomorrow!

Thank you for helping make Camp Horizon a place where lives continue to be changed.

Last night's storm hit Camp Horizon hard. Thankfully, our buildings and facilities escaped any major damage, but there are trees and limbs down all across camp.

With a large group of campers arriving tomorrow, we're working quickly to get the property cleaned up and ready to welcome them.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and the volunteers who have already come out today to help with storm cleanup. Your willingness to jump in means so much!

If you'd like to lend a hand this afternoon, we'd love the help. The heavy equipment should have most of the large debris cleared by then, but there will be plenty of smaller branches and sticks that need to be picked up. Every helping hand makes a difference..
